I am exhausted. I had a 12 hour work day yesterday followed by working at night and didn't get to bed until 445am. Then I got up at 9 to go to a baptism.

I'd like this to be a 35 point game at the half.
How many points do you want Miami to have at the half??

The way these teams play, I’m not sure I even want to watch the first 45 minutes. C’s better figure out how to keep Butler away from his automatic 14 ft baseline spot, and how to beat a zone when 3 guys are covering Tatum.

Far as I can see, the Celtics have one total comeback down 0-2 in a best-of-7: 2017, first round. Against the Bulls, led by none other than Jimmy Butler. Not over until otherwise over. At large, in recent memory, what about the 2021 Bucks? Nets and Suns were both 0-2 comebacks? Draw the history even further and I'll mention the 1994 Rockets: Down 2-0, lost both at home in the Semis, but still won the Finals. The Heat themselves would tell you 0-2 is certainly possible. It's how they got their first title, after all.

In this eternal, enduring endeavor, tough times won't list. Tough people do. Be us not our own worst enemy. Why should we look at the dark side of things with such glee? But since this is South Beach, let's liken today to a surf. What's really coming? Big wave? Small wave? We don't know. But instead of fearing drowning along this Charybdisian monstrosity, hope instead we can ride over it.

WIN.

Would Al be better served coming off the bench?
Think you want him with the starters to defend Bam and try to pull him out of the paint (if he ever remembers how to shoot), then let the more athletic TL beast on Zeller who is just too slow for him

Edit- bigger question will be what the closing 5 looks like if it's close.

Might be neither here nor there, but if Rondo doesn't get hurt in game 2 (23 points, 17 rebounds and 20 assists in games 1 and 2) and miss the rest of the series, really good chance Chicago finishes Boston off.

Really scared of a cold start and everyone just getting tight and getting boat-raced. Make me look like a dumb baby please.

Won 2/3 in Atlanta
Won 2/3 in Philly
Time to do the same in Miami. Starting tonight. (3/3 would also be acceptable).

Ok, does the NBA really want a Denver/Miami finals? I am sure the league marketing department is coming to the acceptance stage of grief over the Lakers being 99% dead, and they certainly don't want 2 series going 3-0. So, let's hope that the officials tonight received the proper "points of emphasis" when officiating the game.

My prediction:
-Jaylen comes out on fire.
-Horford makes 3’s
-Celtics win
-Ivanka doesn’t post about basketball anymore

I don't know if I can stomach a close game (less than 10 point margin with less than 6 minutes to go). Something comfortable would be much appreciated.

C’s win and Ivanka in an orange jumpsuit means all is well in my world.
