The Celtics are shooting about as well as a team should be expected when they are all like one screen pass and shoot or shooting off the dribble with someone in your space. The makes have been like 3 ball movement plays and then a couple early makes by Al and Tatum off 1 and 0 passes, respectively. They had no chance tonight. The Heat have stepped into everything wide open catch and shoot.

If your Nurse are you coming here over the Bucks? Why would anyone do that?
Why not, probably pay better, team hasn't won with this core, and they're expected to choke, so less pressure.

For those indicating Mazzulla should or will be back...ask yourself this: if he gets fired, what is his next job?
He'd probably get an assistant job pretty easily, likely HOU, but wouldn't rule out UTA.

It reminds me a little bit of game two in the finals last year when they lost their composure with Draymond. It’s not that there aren’t things conspiring against them, but they haven’t handled it well.
agreed. The officiating tonight is embarrassing and awful. But so are the Celtics, and calls might even out if they have some composure. Which they very much have not

Having complained as much as I have about the coach I’ll take it all back if he starts this 5 next game just to make a point to his dumb ass team

If Mazzulla doesn’t go nuclear on this team, the refs, and everyone involved in this game then he’s a gigantic fucking loser not worthy of an NBA job. This was a complete embarrassment, go scorched earth

Stop blaming the coach for everything. This core has been together for 80-90 playoff games and keep doing the same shit every year to get eliminated
I think most people view it as a move on from CJM plus XYZ players, not a one or the other.

Yeah, but they haven’t quit like this. This series is different. Of course you can’t lay it all at Joe’s feet but I cannot fathom him coming back after this.

Mazzulla has been an absolute shitshow, but THIS.

Tatum-Brown-Smart just don't have "it." Clean house.

I was firmly on this train but the offense has been dead for 9 quarters (this one is garbage time, won't count it) - and Jed Zeppelin is pointing out how basic our offense is on X's and O's. I'm wondering.

I don’t know if/how much better of a coach Ime is, there have been a lot of the same issues we saw last season, but I’d have felt infinitely better with him back as a second year guy and the experience.

I don’t think it’s the difference or anything but they obviously responded to him. The defense for one has not been the same which is really the core of the problem. They have not been competitive on that end of the floor for way too much of these playoffs.

Yeah, Mazzulla is in over his head, but that doesn't excuse the abysmal shooting and lack of focus by Brown and Tatum (among others).

This. Everyone loves to act like Ime was a joke and post stats from last year to this year. There’s no fucking way a game like this happens under Ime. I’m struggling to think of many coaches who would allow a disgraceful performance like this
