Am I missing the point of irony? I’m complaining about the fans/posters not the team. This post is so fucking standalone ironic that I'm having a hard time keeping my balance.

"Well, everyone knows the Red Sox have a better record than the Royals. What this post presupposes is... maybe they don't."23 games better than the fucking Royals
Can it be necking in the saloons, drinking in the streets, and dancing in the parlor? Or is that just asking for many misdemeanors?Hey guys. The Sox won on a walk off. Let there be dancing in the streets, drinking in the saloons, and necking in the parlor!
Didn’t Xander have one?Red Sox Walk off grand slams this century:
Rico Brogna (2000)
Travis Shaw (2021)
Franchy Cordero (2022)
Pablo Reyes (2023)
Combined career bWAR — 6.9
Yep. That’s not as fun.Didn’t Xander have one?
Whatever your brand of vodka. I find parlor girls to be easy. Can it be necking in the saloons, drinking in the streets, and dancing in the parlor? Or is that just asking for many misdemeanors?
I enjoyed tonight’s game. I’m sorry that you didn’t."Well, everyone knows the Red Sox have a better record than the Royals. What this post presupposes is... maybe they don't."

Home opener. Timlin pitched that game. For the Ms.I know not this century... but I remember Mo with a dramatic one.
EDIT - looking it up shows it capped a 7 run 9th, for a 9-7 win.

Actually, three one-time Red Sox pitchers pitched for the Mariners in that gameHome opener. Timlin pitched that game. For the Ms.
Yeah, look at that. And our manager’s big brother led off the Fenway year with the first at bat.Actually, three one-time Red Sox pitchers pitched for the Mariners in that game
On the heels of a "masterful" pitching performance the day before. Has Ohtani ever pitched the 9th inning in one game, then hit a walk-off granny in the following? So is anyone else constantly refreshing the main board this morning for news of Reyes/Chang?
What a stunning performance by Pablo. The Reyes game is one to remember.
Joe and Trupe. The sound of my youth.I know not this century... but I remember Mo with a dramatic one.

Urias has been here for like 3 games or something. He's a good player outside of the injury he is dealing with this year. Give him some time.I really enjoyed the Boston Reyes Sox last night. If he is gone, I will be sad. I know they can't/won't do it, but wouldn't everybody miss Urias less than either Reyes or Chang?
You know what struck me watching that video? How the lack of an enforced pitch/batter clock heightens TV's ability to ramp up the drama.
We got Urias to be our starting 2B, why would we want to ditch him rather than one of the backups?I really enjoyed the Boston Reyes Sox last night. If he is gone, I will be sad. I know they can't/won't do it, but wouldn't everybody miss Urias less than either Reyes or Chang?
Even though Yu Chang is [hyperbole] singlehandedly responsible for the Red Sox even being within sight of being within sight of a playoff spot [/hyperbole], his time may have come. Like the pace-setter in a distance race, the domestique in a mountain stage of a grand tour cycle race, or the first stage of a Saturn V rocket, he has done his job.We got Urias to be our starting 2B, why would we want to ditch him rather than one of the backups?
I like Chang's defense and all, but that bat has been truly atrocious.
It's really gonna suck when Castig is gone.I know not this century... but I remember Mo with a dramatic one.

Yes it will. It will be as difficult as it was losing Remy. Joe is already on a limited schedule doing only home games if I'm not mistaken. It's really gonna suck when Castig is gone.
I was at that game. 15 Ks for Randy Johnson through 8 and Pinella went to the bullpen for the ninth. I was sitting behind the Mariners bullpen with my dad and brother. As soon as Slocumb got up to warm, it livened up the crowd immediately. It was also Good Friday so they didn’t sell beer at the game. Needless to say, the crowd snuck in plenty of their own booze so they could imbibe. Mo’s walkoff was an incredible moment to witness in person.Actually, three one-time Red Sox pitchers pitched for the Mariners in that game
That season was basically the end of my "youth." By the end of it, I was in grad school, and then career time. My memories of that game, and the people I watched it with, and the bar we watched it at, mean the world to me.I know not this century... but I remember Mo with a dramatic one.
