Papelbon might be the worst of the desk jockeys they've trotted out. He makes Rice look eloquent.

Paps re: catcher's interference: "I don't like the rule." What does that even mean? He thinks there should be no consequence for hitting a bat with your glove?

He cares a fuckload more than anyone in this thread. Come the fuck on. Body language baloney.

A night where the offense goes 0-15 with RISP and it’s about Cora not caring.
The manager body language stuff is overrated. We are all kind of crazy following this team and place ourselves in that situation but Cora has to be above that. Boone made an absolute fool out of himself a few weeks ago and it made no difference.

Its the groceries. They are stale AF.

He literally had to ask TC for the RISP and LOB numbers instead of having an iPad or a laptop in front of him to see the box score.

Papelbon is a fucking moron. At times he also makes Rice look like he wants to punch him in the mouth.

Now tied for 17th best record in baseball. They are 5 games better than the Angels and Padres, so likely will not finish any worse than 18th, for draft pick purposes.

For the doubleheader: 0 for 19 with RISP, 20 runners left on base. 10 strikeouts in 19 AB with runners in scoring position.
3 runs scored. 2 RBI in 18 innings, both on solo HRs.
The pitching finally improves and holds NY to 7 total runs in 2 games, but they lose both due to horrendous offense.
Thanks for showing up, bats. Good job, good effort.

I wasn't keeping up with the thread last night, so this may have been covered already:

What the hell happened with the Trevor Story play that the Red Sox did not challenge? The NESN broadcast could see it clear as day from their angles, and I would assume that the organization has camera angles that we are not privy to. Bauers' foot was clearly off the bag. It was a one run game at that point and that would have been the tying run.
