Thanks to all who commented on the poem(s). I’m glad people still like them.
Hard to believe I’ve written this many and we’re nearly back to 500 ball.
Had hoped the poems would lead us to the promise land and that I’d write more than 162. Looks like I’ll be forced to stop at there unless the rain washes away a few that don’t matter.

It’s really a bummer that your creative spark and execution was used on this season.

I know several Fenway ushers and security personnel. They are pretty upset with the way the team has handled weather this year. (And it’s been a rough weather year).

They know it’s pretty wet tonight until after 9:30. That they haven’t called it is tough for us, but really tough for those who work games.

It’s rained pretty much every day this summer, I’m not sure what they could really do.

Im pretty sure its not the Sox call alone. MLB HQ probably has large amount of say as well.

How do you even start to play this game at this point? What a shitshow from all involved in the decision-making process.

It's 2:45 pm here and I am bemoaning that the rest of my day and dinner will be dictated by this nonsense.

There's few bright spots to enjoy this season, but your work is definitely one.

You really feel for the workers at Fenway; all of them. There are folks who have families that gotta get up to get the kids off to school, the elderly who it's WAY past their bedtime and of course, the ballplayers who spend the entire day sitting in the locker room.

Your poems have been wonderful this season. And, perhaps unfortunately for the home town team, more enjoyable than the games on the field of late.

Maybe next season you can try limericks?

Replace "Bobby Dalbec" with "Bugs Bunny" and I'd be all for it.

Wouldn’t they be there just the same if the game was played?

true, ushers and hawkers aren’t getting their tips but they will get an extra payday when the game is made up.

I think Cora will save Whitlock for Game 2 and use him after starting an opener like Walter. Houck going more than 5 innings in the first game would be nice.

Can't stand walks, especially leadoff walks. Especially to bottom of
the order guys!

Edit: Fortunately no damage this time.
