Heat were just better all night. Played harder. Defended harder. Were more physical. Celtics thought they could just show up. Other than that 1:30 period at the end of the first half, the Heat just dominated the game. I can't even fucking believe it's possible. But of course it is.

Let's see how they respond.

For the love of fucking god, pass the ball Jrue. You absolutely suck fucking ass tonight, don’t try and go 1 on 1

A complete no show from anyone other than JT/JB. Really just a pathetic effort. KP and Jrue especially. Joe did a terrible job of adjusting or doing anything.

Yeah. Fuck this. I've had enough of this shit with thia tean. They showed up today, walked in acting like that they'd just win the game on paper.

Out-efforted, out-executed, out-toughed. Sickening shit. If they go six or more against Miami without Butler, just go home. You aren't a championship team. And I guess they never were if that were the case. Embarrassing.

Trade coaches and we sweep. Zero doubt in my mind

I’ll never understand and why ownership and Brad opted for an unproven coach with this stacked roster

Scal is openly questioning Mazzulla's strategy tonight.
I’m not one to defend him but I doubt his strategy was to go 1 on 1 on the perimeter all night. I’d more question why he can’t get his team to run their fucking offense after 36 minutes of watching whatever they decided to do tonight not work

Early in game 3, someone big needs to truck Bam while he’s setting a screen — and then set a hard moving screen on the offensive end on the very next play.

I expect them to come out and destroy Miami in Game 3 but this is a hard fought 6/7 game series now which sucks for the prospects of a deep playoff run. Best offense in history came up really small tonight.

Need to push pace more and be sure in half court they always get ball beneath foul line

Miami was allowed to be very physical and that is likely to continue

I mean... have people not watched this team the last oh... 6 years? Teams are who their stars are, and the Celtics' stars revert to ISO whenever they are challenged.

I can’t believe they didn’t even make a run. Thought for sure they would in the 4th . Kind of pathetic if I am being fair. Miami defended the perimeter very well and the Celtics didn’t. That said, I don’t think Miami will shoot this good again but let’s not let them. Play better defense.

There will be a few posters that disagree with you but I think deep down we all know you’re right.

Joe was thinking of screenplay ideas for the Town 2

One major factor... Celtics stopped taking 3s. One of the lowest totals for attempts on the year. Taking far fewer 3s than your opponent and hitting them at a lower rate is always a loss in the modern NBA.

You can play as hard as possible and still miss shots. If the Heat weren't lights out tonite from 3-point range, the C's probably would have found a way to win. Trading 2s for 3s is not a formula for success in today's NBA.

I mean, I don't disagree that Joe is still green, but also you can't leave so many open shooters from 3.

KP being ass really screwed us, the drive and kick game wasn't there and Miami also shot a ton more 3s than us, which is our usual game plan. Fucking aggravating.

3>2 and we saw that tonight in spades.

Oh I sure have but when I complain about their approach and inability to focus and get right everyone just mutters about shooting percentages

In all honesty, this is 100% on Jrue and KP.

Jrue completely napping, guarding no one, while Martin drains a 3 right next to him was the play of the game

Agreed.

The Heat hitting a ridiculous amount of 3s somehow made the Celtics shoot less.

Such a weird game.

C's got it down to six a couple times and to five on White's three-point play. They just couldn't get a stop when they needed it. Miami answered with 3s time and again.

I think they still win the series and not too uncomfortably but they are so far in their own heads sometimes and it really makes me hope someone takes out Denver before the Finals because I don’t know how you can trust them (more than Denver) to figure shit out if it’s not going well.

You wanted them to have this game in Miami. Terrifying that it happened in Boston after they lollygagged the 4th quarter in game 1.
