Toronto pulling 3 out if 4 points from Ottawa in a week. Thank you Kessel!

Bernier was immense in the shootout. Gave up a goal on the first then stopped 6 straight.

All in all, a successful day for the B's.

That actually is a gigantic outcome there for the Bruins. If ottawa had won that means ottawa would only need one win and a Bruins loss to pass them. Now since the Bruins own the tiebreaker, ottawa will have to have the Bruins lose at least 2 of their final 3.

To put it simply, two Bruins wins, one Bruins win and an Ottawa loss, or two Ottawa losses and the Bruins are in

Toronto's had like 7 wins or something since February. Naturally 2 are against the Sens who have lost only like 7 times during the same stretch. Hockey, baby.

Well, 2 of 4. Still 2 more than I expected.

Looks to me like Pacioretty might have embellished that hit and unwittingly thrown himself into the boards. I'm not kidding, that looks like a sales job gone awry.

What the fuck was the penalty for on that play. It wasn't even close to a board.

I'd guess interference. He never had the puck.

Pittaburgh up 1-0.

MLB Extra Innings is free this week and, hurray, the overlap with CI means free CI as well!

Wings up 1-0 on the Canes. Not expecting much help there, Carolina seems to have mailed it in hit the golf course about a week ago.

West race is good too. Flames and Jets trying to fend off the Kings. Jets are 1 point up and in St. Louis, Flames are tied but hold the tiebreaker. They host the Coyotes tonight, while LA travels to Edmonton.

Definitely using the dual game feature on these two on NHL Gamecenter ok the computer.

If the Wings and Pens lose, is that a good thing for the B's? What a Clutterbuck that would be.

Yes and no. Yes because it puts the Bruins in firm control over those two teams, no because it brings Ottawa and the possibility of missing out completely closer.

As much as I'd love to see Pittsburgh on the outside, I think them winning is in the Bruins best interest.

The Island
It's getting chippy in St. Louis. Stastny slashes the stick out of Myers' hand on a rush, scores, but has the goal waved off for his slash. As Stastny's on the ice looking incredulous, Ott does as Ott does, going after noted ruffian Drew Stafford. Perhaps Brave Steve forgets that Shane Hnidy works for the Jets, sometimes between the benches.

The Isles are demanding to be a part of this. Tied game against Philly with 28 seconds left, then give up goal 2.1 seconds left to snatch defeat from the jaws of, er, at least a loser point. They're at 98 points with 2 to play.

If both Pitt and Detroit win I think they both clinch. Ottawa would only be able to catch the Bruins still.
Correct.

Edit: Isles get in too with any sort of Ottawa loss.

Damnit, the Rangers won today and that clinched the presidents trophy. Nothing left for them to play for And they play Ottawa on Thursday.
