I do & should have mentioned it, but the internet sucks at my kids' gymnastics.

Was it as amazing as I assume?
Catch was fine. He's about the size of an ant on my laptop screen. Grateful that they are livestreaming but high def it is not.

Rosier lined out to 2nd.

I'll try watching the stream on my phone at the top of the hour & see how it goes.

I really think that if Rosier batted RH he would be on the opening day roster for the Red Sox next year.
But this organization is insanely left-handed with position players. They could make multiple trades to balance it and still be too left-handed.
I mean this is the organization that has giant walls in left field in the majors, the spring training park, and several minor league parks.
LH hitters who go the other way are great in these parks, but most LH don't go oppo all that often, and also great are normal RH hitters who pull 340-foot high fly balls frequently, so maybe we should mix in a few of those.
It's just weird IMO.

I actually totally disagree on Rosier. Not the left handed thing, but I think he needs at least a few months in Worcester. I've been kinda overhyping him because there's not much else going on & he's running good on BABIP luck. He made a big leap this year, but he needs to make another one to be a positive MLB player.

Burned . . . Blacklisted
(If I'm going to be labeled a Rosier stan I might as well lean into it)
I can’t say where I heard this, but word is JM3 has replaced all friends and family in photos at his house with headshots of ROSIER.

It’s also being reported that late at night, he seems to be having conversations with some of them.
“I believe in you, Corey.”
“Let’s go out there and prove it to them, Corey”
“Help me Corey Rosier, you’re my only hope”.

Little bit of a rough start to the bottom of the 1st for PENROD.

Walk
Steal 2nd
Go to 3rd on a Hickey throwing error

But then...

Strikeout
Groundout to 1st (no run)
Strikeout

Hickey struck out, though, so 3-5, 2 k's etc., & teammates are 1-20.

Some quotes from the Penrod article:

Penrod on baseball:

"Otherworldly," Penrod said. "I just keep saying I'm in a dream just waiting to wake up. I'm just trying to enjoy every single moment that I get because you never know when you're going to put the uniform on for the last time."
Hickey on Penrod:

"Fastball was electric," said the backstop. "That changeup is unreal. Slider, he had it when he needed it. I thought he had all of his stuff tonight, was commanding it very well, throwing anything in any count. What more can you ask?"
Penrod on confidence:

"Honestly, I've rolled confidence over," he said. "I felt like I had the ability and my stuff played well enough that I could take it here and see what I could do against these hitters."
