I'm all for more Celtics in the HOF, but Jo Jo White is a streeeeetch.
 
Spencer Haywood is kind of a stretch, too, but at least he was awesome for a brief period.

I was thinking the same thing.....JoJo White and Haywood bring the bar down. Although a HOF that has Andy Philip and his career 9/5/4 numbers enshrined may not be able to lower it much more.

Forget about MVP voting, as far as I can tell, JoJo was never a first- or second-round all-NBA selection.
 
I remember passionately arguing as a ten-year-old how White and Charlie Scott were a better backcourt than Frazier and Monroe.  I was wrong.
 
Respect to Mr. White, but the Hall of Fame isn't quite as impressive with him in it.

Say what you will about Jo Jo, borderline HOF or no, he's my guy. I was in the 2nd balcony June 4, '76. This clip says it all. What a performance!

fwiw he was 2nd team all NBA in '75 & '77, all rookie 1st team '70, and of course finals MVP '76.
