They do PPV games for $7.99Just looked it up. $150 just to watch the P-bruins. That's highway robbery.

The Bruins are really loaded with young forward talent right now, between Bjork, DeBrusk, and Providence guys who are worth a look (Heinen, Cehlarik, JFK, Czarnik). That doesn't even get to Senyshyn, who is in Providence but has some more work to do to earn a callup.Goal and 2 assists for Heinen tonight through 3 periods. He may force his way back up in short order.
I agree with this. Vatrano really is nothing more than a quick release at this point. Pretty disappointed with his development, but maybe in another town he might get a more consistent shot. He had that great AHL run, but really hasn't been able to put anything together up here.Heinen is up to 1-7=8 in 4 games in Providence. I’m close to ready to bring him up full time. Would need to either waive and send down Beleskey or trade Vatrano, but I think Heinen brings more to the table than those 2.
He’s doing his best to make it for good. And we have a Heinen recall...for good?
I watched a bit of the Harvard v. Dartmouth game over the weekend, and Donato is just a step above everyone on the ice. It's almost not fair.Providence is rolling along, 4-1 win last night to move to 6-1-0 on the year. 2 goals for Czarnik who is 4-4=8 in 4 games.
Frederic scored for Wisconsin, 5-4=9 in 8 games do start his season.
Donato's season begins on Sunday. He had 2 goals and 3 assists in a 7-2 exhibition win over the under 18 national team last weekend. He's getting Hobey buzz.
Heinen has been awesome. I think this is more about Danton than it is about Agostino. He's been fine, but as you note, seems like a Chris Bourque redux.Agostino sent back to Providence. Worthwhile gamble, but he seems like Chris Bourque redux.
I think there are a few factors. First is the salary cap. The Bruins are basically over the cap and eating into McQuaid’s LTIR. JFK has a $917K cap hits. Cehlarik is like $700K, Szwarz and Czarnik $650K. Heinen and Agostino in the $800K range. Not the main reason but probably factoring into their decision. They also probably prefer JFK get loads of ice time in Providence as opposed to 10ish min in Boston right now.Can someone more informed than I am give a thumbnail as to why JFK hasn't been among the thousands of PBruins that have passed through the revolving door during the varsity's injury plague? Just a case of clear and obvious not-ready-ness?
Given JFK is the best Center prospect they have, I love that they have given him the #1 spot down there and let him ride. I hope he plays the whole season getting something like 20 minutes a game in all situations. Moreover, I don't know that he offers much more than Czarnik or Kuraly do (or Spooner when he's back), so he's better off getting a ton of minutes.I think there are a few factors. JFK also had an injury that set him back a week or two in training camp, so he was probably a bit behind early in the year when they originally got dinged by injures to Spooner, Backes part 1, Bergeron etc. JFK seems to be doing OK in Providence- 5g 5a in 15 games. Maybe he’s on the DeBrusk plan where he spends the year down there no matter what, but I think we’ll see him at some point.
Donato was flat out awesome last night. Best player on the ice. So skilled and he could probably play for the Bruins right now. There is no reason for him to go back to Harvard next season. He can get his degree in the summer and take freaking classes on off daysNice night for some prospects...
JFK- goal and assist
Fitzgerald- goal and 2 assists
Donato- hat trick
Frederic- goal
Studnicka- 2 goals and 2 assists
He is such a maroon, jesus weptAlso, Haggs checking in with a hot take. The Bruins have too many Americans. They should really draft more Canadians like Alex DeBrincat, a good Canadian boy!
Senyshyn will take time, but in the long run I think he ends up a solid top 9 player. It will take 2-3 years though. Zboril I am less sure of, but he’s very talented and some defenseman take more time. Given their current young players on the roster I think both will get the time to develop.I'm a bit disappointed by some guys in Providence despite their record, especially Senyshyn and Zbonl (no points yet!). Of course, they're only 20 and Senyshyn has played on the 4th line so there's that but still, it's a bit hard right now to envision him a future top 6 forward at this stage. I worry that he's headed toward more of a Ryan Spooner career trajectory. Also, McIntyre struggling some but maybe it's just SSS
Senyshyn has actually been excellent in Providence for the past month or so. He had 2 points on November 3rd and has 8 in his last 10 and the coaching staff is saying a lot of nice things about him.I'm a bit disappointed by some guys in Providence despite their record, especially Senyshyn and Zbonl (no points yet!). And he is a guy who was expected to need some AHL seasoning.Senyshyn has actually been excellent in Providence for the past month or so. He had 2 points on November 3rd and has 8 in his last 10 and the coaching staff is saying a lot of nice things about him.
Not a huge sample size since I've only been to 4 or 5 games, but sheltered seems to be a good description. Cross, Breen, and O'Gara get most of the heavy lifting minutes. Neither Zboril or Lauzon stick out right now. That's not unexpected for a 20 YO AHL rookie, but I Carlo made an immediate impact when he joined Providence. If I had to rank the D Rookies right now it would be Johansson, Lauzon, and then Zboril.Senyshyn is someone whose development probably got hurt a bit by not being able to play in the AHL last season. He got by on his physical tools in the OHL a lot of the time. I don't think any of these guys should be judged too harshly on their first 1/4 pro seasons tho, but some of the numbers aren't very encouraging.
Anyone who's watched the games, how have Zboril/Lauzon been used? Sheltered minutes? They both have the best +/- on the team among defenseman but their lack of points (1 and 2 respectively) is concerning. Yeah I know +/- is fairly useless but could tell you something if we had some data on their usage.
There is a lot of reason for optimism. No question.I really do feel like this team is set up really well for the future . . . .
He sure did. At pretty much full speed too.Did he go between the legs on that?
I don't know that I've seen that one before, with the back turned. He sure did. At pretty much full speed too.
I actually think he has a pretty high floor. He's an elite skater/athlete and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Dan Paille was a useful player with those 2 things and absolutely nothing else. Obviously you want a lot more than that from a 1st rounder, but I don't think it's very likely he'll be a complete flameout. They are also playing him on the PK and at the end of games. Sounds like he's coming along. We probably don't see him until mid/late next year at the earliest, and there is a real flameout possibility with him, but he seems to be coming along.
