While if OKC in not part of any trades, they have to be absolutely thrilled with what is left on the board

And of course I am apparently wrong again as it is posted that OKC is trading the pick.

Tim McMahon says it's a Wizards 1st & a Pistons 1st. Was expecting Nets' 1sts.
Hating the value of the Kemba trade more every day. I get the need but the inclusion of the pick…ugh

Also, Sengun and Wood are a weird pair.

Maybe OKC just likes someone better than Sengun that they'll take at 18, but they need a center. No idea why you give up your choice of the centers in that spot for future picks. At some point they need to turn picks into players and the way this draft has fallen there are really interesting players there

The Pistons pick, if they sent it with the same protections as received is:

'22 top 16 protected
'23 & '24 top 18 protected
'25 top 13 protected
'26 top 11 protected
'27 top 9 protected or '27 2nd

So not an elite asset.

Love this Sengun pick at 16. We Celtics fans can lament for the next decade as he develops into a very useful big.

Wizards pick:

'23 top 14 protected
'24 top 12 protected
'25 top 10 protected
'26 top 8 protected or '26 & '27 2nds

when Kemba is averaging 23ppg next season, during meaningless games, heads will explode around here
I was done with Kemba, and I recognize they need the cap space, but smarts to lose the pick. They have an asset deficit that deal did not help

What is funny is the draft has mostly caught up with the Big Boards in terms of rankings, with the exception of the Spurs' reach for Primo. Just a strange order to the top 20-ish picks.

NO picks Murphy, another long wing to pair with Ingram as Zion’s supporting cast. I like him better than Ziaire Williams at 10.

Cade going vegan for 2 weeks & waving his hands around aimlessly when asked who he models his game after are yellow flags.

Not nearly as much as him praising Magic and Brid while not being able to wait to get on the court and learn from them.

These softball tosses by this crew isn’t doing anything to prepare these kids for the league. I say let’s throw them right into the fire and have Zach G. sitting between two ferns in a dark room behind a curtain. 5 minutes, that’s all.

Agreed.

Ugh Tre Mann to OKC. I guess maybe there is some Bouknight lite comparison for him. But I have no bleeping idea what OKC is doing. I can't see getting a bench guard, when a guy like Jones was staring at them

Nighthob should be excited about the Rockets day so far.

Probably a year early, but developing young rookies, at the NBA level, is coming to an end in Boston.

The team is evolving
Yeah, I argued last year was time for this so I hear you. We’ll see how off-season goes—if they resign Fournier or use TPE for a material player it’ll be ok. But if they gave up a 1 for a shot at 2022 cap space there is a lot of pressure to nail it

Kai could be really good or really bad, but he definitely seems to have an infectious personality.

Knicks traded their other 1st to Pistons. I guess they need cap room.

Ooo source battle, Shams says Clippers, Woj said Pistons.

Honestly I would rather have had Keon Johnson at #16. I like that pick for Detroit, though. I think he’s going to be a great running mate for Cunningham.

EDIT: Bad data. That’ll learn me to listen to Woj. The Clippers are an even better landing spot for him, though.

I just feel like shooting is the easiest thing to develop. Heck Rajon Rondo developed into a good 3pt shooter in his 30s. Keon will never be Kispert as a shooter, but he is gonna be a dramatically better player in every other aspect of the game

Mitchell is another one, he went from being an awful shooter as a Frosh, to a almost mediocre as a Junior, to Stud numbers as a Senior

OK, now I really don’t get the Sengun pick if they were just drafting another C a few spots later.

Especially when he Kemba is spun off for 2 future #1 picks at the deadline
ouch...I can't withstand any more SoSH demerits

Man, Houston is killing the draft. Three guys who hung around various top ten draft boards in the last week in Green, Sengun and Garuba.

Not really sure Garuba is a C or a PF. They are polar opposite player, with the only commonality being similar height, and technically position

Wizards traded 22 (IJax) for Aaron Holiday.
Please tell me there is more in the trade going to Wash. I get it they are trying to finish 8th now,

OK looked it up, apparently Wiz are also getting 31 in the deal. Maybe they can find another middling bench guy who has underachieved in his current role for the 31 pick

with the Kings selecting PG, Davion Mitchell + Buddy Hield not going to the Lakers...

Brad needs to go get Delon Wright for TT + 45 (after they buy OKCs 35th pick)
