Flew like someone shot it out the skyThat was partially blocked I think, really insane it still went in.
I remember a game-tying kick but that was in the snow. Was that the ugliest clutch game-winning kick ever?
He is really impressiveIncredible by Hooker. Got them in FG range with two throws.
Carter just sat and watched the Fla St.QB run buy him.OK that was fun now let's go Seminoles.
He isn't in his Prime there?Herbie loves college so much more than pro. He is way better here than on Amazon
I thought the same thingLooked like the kicker started moving towards the ball before it was even snapped. The rhythm was way off, but it somehow had enough leg to juuust make it. It was literally helicoptoring sideways.
If he didn’t, I think 47 from Alabama blocks it. Such an odd play.Looked like the kicker started moving towards the ball before it was even snapped. The rhythm was way off, but it somehow had enough leg to juuust make it. It was literally helicoptoring sideways.
So far this was never in doubt.I don’t gamble. That said a Ten/LSU money line parlay looks like a nice bet.
Thanks for your input, figured the change of possession had to have some “permanence”A lot going on here. I can’t hear the whistle on the broadcast version of the film which makes it hard to comment intelligently.
Short version: they were technically right but I would have tried to handle it differently. The relevant rules:
The ball always belongs to a team. A kicked ball belongs to the kicking team until it is recovered or dead by rule.
Holding by the defense is penalized from the previous spot unless it meets the following criteria (abridged)
Foul occurs during a kick that crosses the neutral zone
The ball belongs to the defense at the end of the play.
When the inadvertent whistle happens the ball is dead immediately. And when the ball became dead it belonged to the kicking team, so the second criteria above is not met. Replay can fix a lot of these situations if there is a reviewable aspect ( immediate recovery etc.)
I’d probably ignore the rule and treat the ball as if it had been possessed by the receiving team. Would be receiving team ball -10 yards, basically ignoring (or steamrolling) the IW. It’s happened quite a few times in some really high profile games and basically nobody has ever noticed, and I doubt they would here
The complaints about the fumble call made me think this was a home announcing crew for a momentNBC stuck with a scoreless half for ND against Stanford. They must have some regrets...
The USC-Utah game is just like a Big 12 game!Caleb Williams is good at football.
Former OU QB vs Texas signee for QB so, yea.The USC-Utah game is just like a Big 12 game!
Shaw really tried to, that was miserable coaching at the end of the previous drive. You've got to play for the win on that 3rd and 10 playStanford is going to choke away the game vs ND. Ugh.
The refs have given Utah 14 points on 2 horrendous roughing the passer calls.Flag fest in Utah.
So sad Rising didn’t stay with Texas. I get why, but he’s a baller.2 pt conversion!!
A serious baller. As is CalebSo sad Rising didn’t stay with Texas. I get why, but he’s a baller.
