Was the throw really that bad? It was on the wrong side of the receiver, but it looked like the receiver still should have had it.

Prettt sure it was an improvised route bc of the blown coverage, Penix way overestimated how quickly his guy can turn on a dime

Are we sure about that?

I’m wondering if Penix threw the ball to the right spot and the receiver turned in instead of out.
I can't imagine that the route was for him to break it outside late, into a corner, it was a post and he airmailed the throw

I guess we have to see the release matched to the break. From skycam I had that one on the qb but receiver could have messed up.
