Quinn Ewers is "week to week" but I doubt he takes the field again for Texas. Grade 2 shoulder injury.

BYU beating Texas will suuuuuuuck. KState and Iowa State will to but BYU - yuck.

As discussed last week, Rising and TE Kuithe are officially out for the year for Utah, so the offense will continue to just try to do it's best. Being at home helps, Utah hasn't lost at home since 2020 in an empty stadium (seems like a lifetime ago for those empty stadium games).

I just can't lament enough the end of the Pac 12. Utah has some pretty chippy mini-rivalries going with USC and Oregon the last few years and it's unfortunate to lose those games.

In the 1st quarter, tied 7-7, Liberty went for a 4th and 1 from its own 17. After it had gotten stoned on 3rd and 1. The quarterback ran wide and was met behind the marker, but was able to surge ahead with a second effort. That's pretty wild.

This is weird, I think the noon game I’m most interested in is dear old Boston College

#10 Penn State currently getting hosed by the 2-7 Hoosiers midway through the second quarter.

Hopefully they'll will be happy at Sons of Antwaan Randle-El in a couple hours. I don't usually root for Steelers but today is such a time.

Penn State seals the deal with a safety, but only after about three of their guys got in each other's way to prevent what should have been an easy defensive touchdown.

Kansas QB slides just short of the goal line on third down with a TD well in his sights and gets hammered in the process, by what is probably a hit that rises to the level of targeting. Wow.

Maalik Murphy looking like a freshman in Austin, just threw a terrible pick. 7-0 Horns early after Worthy housed a BYU punt.

Edit - and the Horns pick it right back.

The Kansas coach thing is wild. Dude must be some type of hypnotist/magician. To think this guy was just gucking around dominating low level ball for years. Guys like this blow my mind.

A line I read on Reddit a while back commenting on Leipold cracks me up every time I see another Kansas win and think about it:

“Maybe I’ll fuck around and make Kansas good”

So many empty seats in Miami Gardens. They really need to build a BC/Duke-sized stadium walking distance from campus to get any sort of HFA.

Wtf are you doing? Can your QB not throw a 10 yard pass?
Biggest red flag in the world for Klubnik was that, as an Austin local 5*, he was passed up for Murphy when Sark got hired despite still being uncommitted and open to Texas

Utah's helmets must have been designed by a committee. One of their players would have to be injured on the ground for 5 minutes in order to interpret what's going on with everything they've crammed on there.

Is Nebraska going to win the Big 10 West?

That would be quite the accomplishment for Rhule.

It was fun while it lasted but we now know Utah’s level and it is clearly not with Oregon this year. That was an absolute thrashing. Oregon is very good and I’d bet they beat Washington in a rematch in the championship game.

Longhorns have been really terrible on 4th and short this season, especially near the goal line. Kinda think Sark has to figure that out well before January.

Great ending in the UVA U of M game.

------

Total beatdown in Jax, game wasn't anywhere close to what the score indicated.

Boise growing into the season, riding a 2-QB system.
Best RB in the country sat out the second half with an injury, but looks to be OK going forward. McAlister developing into a (their only) legit receiver, leading the NCAA in YPC and averaging over 100ypg. Punter has been All-American (Australia?) worthy.

Lotsa holes, but they're getting patched more an more each week...

I've got a buddy who is a big Michigan fan. For anyone who knows more of the story than me... is there any reasonable chance Harbaugh is not guilty of sign stealing in this latest thing?

Harbaugh specifically or the program generally? I think there's definitely a reasonable chance that Harbaugh was in the dark on the specifics.
