I know that the US has to play the ball backwards from time to time, but since it seems we have an upper limit on passes that we can complete, I'd rather they just not.

FAKE EDIT: Nice play there.

I know this is not a new complaint from me but whatever they're doing in Bradenton or at any MLS academy or wherever they had better be focusing on developing 6 midfielders who can actually play this game.

Zardes might be our only guy that doesn't look overwhelmed out there.
Yedlin has been OK-ish. He gets caught upfield/inside too much for my liking but he's not been completely overwhelmed. I have nothing to really say about Brooks/Cameron. They've been invisible, but I find it hard to blame them

Also you can't have Donovan calling US games. He's friends and teammates with most everyone on the US and is obviously not comfortable calling them out, which is plenty deserved tonight.

The speed and fearlessness is noticeable. Most of the rest of the team looks like they already know they're going to give it away before the ball even hits their leaden feet.

Zardes, Yedlin, Cameron Brooks and Johnson all look capable of being on the same field as Argentina (to varying degrees).

The rest of them, not so much.

Every gym class in America should make all the kids do 30 minutes of rondo every day.

He's not exactly Captain Personality to begin with.

Right. FJ has also had some giveaways, but they are coming from trying to do something reasonable and things not working out. (Often because Zusi, KB and Bradley are just standing around watching.)

As you said, everyone else is just panicking whenever they have a touch and not even trying to do anything without the ball.
