Honestly, with every passing week I'm more and more in the camp that Bill is being sabotaged by horrific QB play. The offense sucks, but he missed on that position and if you screw QB up nothing else matters.
All of the BB defenders need to take a huge step back right now.

If he whiffed now, then I guess he struck gold for 20 years and nothing else matters, huh.

He ulimately drafted Mac and the OL room has been regressing for years now.

You'd do well to direct your little crusade elsewhere. Of course, drafting the greatest player ever at the most important position made it so very little else mattered, I've been a proponent of that notion pretty much since I first became a lurker on this board.

Hey, BB, how about aiming for an offense that scores in the 20s consistently?

Bill ain’t ever doing that. Hell he kept Cam Achord on staff after last year’s ST shitshow.
Bill was fired in the scenario I was responding to
BB out
BoB elevated

I would not actually fire BB mid-season

What would people do differently going back with regards to drafting Mac? It was the pretty obvious move, and the entire QB class has been incredibly underwhelming.

Imagine paying multiple thousands of dollars for a flight, hotel and game tickets to go to Germany and watch your team kick 2 fgs. Im pissed off and I never left the couch

2003 Belichick would not hire his kids or make Patricia OC. He was an emotionless killer robot who would cut anyone.
What is the obsession with Steve? He's been around the team and helping various areas for a long time, and it's not like he's performed poorly in his role.

Counterpoint: Steve has had the best results of Bill's entire tenure as HC by defensive DVOA and EPA/Play. Defense isn't the issue with this team. If Steve had Brady, they'd be number one in points allowed every year. A great offense helps a defense immensely.

I think most of us feel the same way as was posted earlier, that our head says this was what we wanted - a competitive loss that increases the likelihood of a high draft pick, which is the best and fastest way to get out of this mess - but that our hearts, because we're fans of this team, think this sucks because we don't like losing.

Yeah, no grief to the D today. Gave up a TD on the opening drive and nothing thereafter. The Colts' final field goal came after a kickoff return to almost mid-field.

The D certainly played well enough to win.
