Thank goodness the Celtics game won't have JVG or Breen. They and the next great head-coach-in-waiting, Mark Jackson are absolute abominations.
During tonight's Celtics game, Jackson expounded at length on why the eurofoul was a great basketball play. Time for the glue factory.

BUT he says everything with so much conviction, he must be right

Gawd, please let the Knicks see the light and bring him back.

I actually don't mind Jones. He's decent. Jackson drags him down. I'm pretty sure Van Gundy has become a late career weed head. Dude goes off on some random ass tangents. Last night he was saying that refs ought to be able to stare down players who make boneheaded plays. Actually kinda cracked me up.

Being a late career weed head myself I enjoy the occasional weird tangent, and Van Gundy's rant was pretty good I thought. Jackson is the worst, he's just an idiot. Jones isn't bad as play by play guy.

Do you guys think Giannis is more of a physical freak than LeBron ever was? LeBron has the reputation of being probably the most athletically gifted wing of all time, but Giannis feels more physically dominant. LeBron was/is significantly more skilled, much better passer and a craftier scorer, but the Giannis just attacks the basket and physically overwhelms people feels unprecedented. This must be like what Dr. J did in the ABA.

Its an entirely fair question but given what LeBron has done over his entire career, I lean his way. But I am not dying on that hill. Giannis is the best player in the NBA right now and its not really close. If he keeps this up, who knows.

He's more Shaq than Lebron.

Spoken like a true Western Conference fan whose team never really had to compete for seeding.
Or like a guy rooting for the likable, small market team that built their team shrewdly and organically versus the gross collection of mercenaries who engineered their way onto the MFY of the NBA.

Do I need to remind Cs fans how many all-time titles the MFL have?

As a lonely C’s fan who lived in Showtime-era LA, I endorse this message.

Fair play.

But I am still pulling for the Lakers here. Siakam, Gasol and Powell are out indefinitely for the Raps and while it won't happen, having the Bucks lose a few games here and there would be good for the Celtics as well.

As a side note, this game is actually the second best one of the night imo. The Clippers versus the Beards is must see.

Tim Duncan was a worse omission from that list than Dr J, Reggie. And he should probably be ‘70s, not ‘80s.

Interesting plus minus, all the Laker starters were positive except LeBron who was -14. That Laker bench was also completely useless tonight. Outside of Giannis and Hill, Milwaukee didn’t even play that well.

LeBron has certainly had a better career and his durability is incredible, but just as a physical marvel I think Giannis might be more impressive.

If there is anyone on the floor you'd trust less in claiming that the rim isn't level than Russell Westbrook? Good job good effort.

Westbrook also has been by far the best player on the court tonight.

Between Russ' "ya forgot about me" explosion and Lou Will being sent to the shower early for calling the ref a "bitch boy", this game is very entertaining.

Looks like I picked the wrong game to watch as my no-spoilers-morning-breakfast-replay game.

Great loser basketball down the stretch from the grizz to hand a game to the cavs. I'm stupider for watching that 4th quarter.

The Mavs are better than people think (even with Luka shelved) and its a game late in December right before the holidays but yeah, that's a tough loss for the 76ers. Not reading too much into it but let's see how the 76ers recover from two losses in a row at home.
