I think you onside again here. If you give up a first down at the 20 or the 50 the game is over. So why not play to win?

I still like the intermediate onsides kick here. Kick it high to the 25 or so, after lining uponsides.

ANother idea there is boot it on the ground as hard as you can at the first line. Either it hits a guy or squibbs around past him into open space.

I've never really seen the point of kicking deep in this situation.  Your choices are either:

(1) Kick deep, have to stop them on defense.

(2) Kick short.  If you recover, bingo.  If you don't, you have to stop them on defense.

Basically, all you lose by going for the on sides kick is field position (either way you have to stop them), and you gain the opportunity to recover it.

I guess the math maybe changes in denver, since the Broncos might already be in FG position if they recover the on sides kick.

If Holliday is the only guy back there, I wouldn't kick it high and hope to land it in between.  I'd kick it low and try to kick it through the line of guys on the receiving team.  Kick it hard and low, and maybe one of them tries to take a stab at it and touches it and now you have a loose ball.  If they don't, then you force Holloway to try and make a play on the ball as it's bouncing around down there.  Uggh, I think that was a missed opportunity.

The "run the ball to kill the clock" strategy is stupid.  All you need is one first down.

Always baffled that coaches get conservative at times like these. Just run your offense.

Alltime best INT if it happened here. Oh, Manning, make it top 10 for him.

Fox won't let him throw, they were running on the false start...and then ran again.
