A three point game is really going to add to the degree of difficulty for Bruins to get top seed.
I almost turned the Rags game on while sitting through a needless and tedious deposition I was defending today. Self-control and what modicum of professionalism I had left barely prevailed. It definitely has. Playoff hockey at noon and at 4pm on a Monday is kind of awesome. Scratch that, it's beyond awesome.
I understand why it’s frustrating, but I don’t think it matters where they finish. Pittsburgh has a great offense, but a defense and goalie that can be exploited. I’m sick of playing Toronto. Columbus’ defense and goalies scare me, especially in a neutral setting. Montreal can fuck off. The Isles are basically Columbus. Florida isn’t a picnic, but likely isn’t advancing. And Carolina could take down any of the top 4.Worst scenario for the Bs. Now behind 3 teams instead of 2
My main concern isn’t necessary the seed they get. The seeds coming in reflect play of 4 months ago so it’s out the window especially among the top teams. The talent margin between the Bruins and the other 3 teams is small. Everyone is healthy now for the most part so teams are different than they may have been in March.I understand why it’s frustrating, but I don’t think it matters where they finish. I just want them ready when they face their opponent in the (true) first round.
I hate him, but Brendan Gallagher is so..... Nope, I just fucking hate him.I hate him, but Crosby is just so smooth.
How did he get up from that wow. That was such a bad collision with the boards.Barzal might be dead.
It is probably meaningless, but it is frustrating that this was the solution they come up with, and that it did not reward the Bruins for being the best team at allWhoever they play in the first round is going to be a good team. The seeding doesn’t really mean anything. Just work the rust out and stay healthy.
He's 6th all time in wins. He joins Roberto Luongo and Curtis Joseph in the top 9 of all time to have never won a Stanley Cup.That’s probably curtains for Lundqvist.
Muzzin was crosschecked from behind by Dubois and fell into the knee of the other Columbus player. It is interesting now in the NHL that cross checking is hardly ever called while you can get 2 minutes for touching a player's glove with your stick. Anyway piss on Mike Milbury for hinting that Muzzin might be faking to get a whistle.Pretty innocuous fall too, just right into Bjorkstran’s leg. Neck injuries are always scary.
I thought that cross check was one of those you see 30 times a game...more of a shove, Muzzin went down and the result was horrible.Muzzin was crosschecked from behind by Dubois and fell into the knee of the other Columbus player. Yeah, the amount of cross checking that guys get away with, while interference and slashing are regulated like mad, is astounding to me.Muzzin was crosschecked from behind by Dubois and fell into the knee of the other Columbus player. He did a great job of buying his teammate some unnecessary slashes there on that tie up.I’m so happy I don’t have to root for Kris Letang. He’s such a gigantic douche.
Yes, but Murray should have had that whole side sealed off.He did a great job of buying his teammate some unnecessary slashes there on that tie up.
Also, Petry's shot to make it 4-3 was kind of awesome.
Absolutely, I cleaned up in fantasy towards the end of the first segment of the season stacking against the Pens. Granted in a short series anything can happen and Sid is Sid. All that said there are definitely worse possible first round matchups for whoever gets them. The Penguins were not going to make the playoffs without the shutdown saving them...they'd lost 8 of 11 going in with their only wins against BUF, OTT, and NJD with a brutal stretch of Metro games to conclude the regular season.
It's an awful defense with a rotten coaching staff and a bad goalie and it's all getting exposed.
Correct. Is the NHL re-seeding after the qualification round? I am assuming if Montreal wins they are playing the 1st seed (likely TB).
Islanders would be the obvious preference. Is there a preference at this point?
Yes, I meant being the 3 or 4 seedIslanders would be the obvious preference.
If Habs/Isles win, it will be 1/12, 2/8 or 9, 3/7, and 4/6. In that scenario, I want 3rd.Yes, I meant being the 3 or 4 seed
