Unless that’s a smokescreen.The Patriots' ideal scenario is by April 25 -- the draft's opening night -- they'll have conviction about one of the quarterbacks available to them. Mayo recently said they haven't reached that point yet.
If they don't reach that point, the team is open to other options, such as trading down.
