Now that looked more like a red.
It’s probably hard for him to make decisions without a betting syndicate telling him what to callHas Clattenburg disagreed with any decision he has critiqued?
Again, just getting the ball first doesn't absolve you when making a reckless tackle. There was already a red in the tournament where the studs-to-torso contact came on the follow through after player in question got to the ball first.that would be a ridiculous red. He got the ball first clearly and rolled off into Graelish
First team that puts in a kicking net on their sideline is gonna dominate shootoutsSouthgate waiting until the 118th minute to bring Sancho and Rashford on is *chefs kiss*
Italy's tournament record (World Cup + Euros) in penalty shootouts is 4 wins and 6 losses, FWIW.England is playing for penalty kicks, because it always works for England in penalty kicks.

Apologies. I heard wrong. He disagreed with the very call we are discussing, in that he thought it shouldn’t have even been a yellow
He really has, has been amazing.Referee has still had an excellent, excellent game, mind you.
I don't know as much about the sport as many folks in here, but yeah - it felt to me like he's done a bang-up job.Referee has still had an excellent, excellent game, mind you.

Getting studs on top of ball is a pretty common control move. Helps to knock it down and get it at your feet. Graelish didnt have control. Calling it a reckless challenge worthy of red is extreme. He was not going in studs up to attack Graelish.Again, just getting the ball first doesn't absolve you when making a reckless tackle. 120 mins and pens are a threat to English livers worldwideI'm sure English fans are calm and ready for PKs.
My son and I have been debating Rashford all tournament. I think he should be getting regular minutes; my son says Rashford is a terrific human being but an overrated player, and doesn’t deserve minutes on this stacked team.Southgate waiting until the 118th minute to bring Sancho and Rashford on is *chefs kiss*
He’s just so nervy looking it’s hard to trust. I do think the new rules really favor the taller keepersPickford is a good penalty stopper. I don't think he'll be a problem for England.
1-1 and decided on penalties would not surprise me.
Tooting my own horn here.If Italy are going to get back into this, I feel like it's going to have to come from a dead ball or a penalty.
He was subbed off wasn’t he?I’ve got Jordan Henderson with the winner.
Prove me wrong, football gods.
...he was subbed off for Rashford, I think. The football gods are harsh.I’ve got Jordan Henderson with the winner.

It's sort of in between. Rashford probably doesn't deserve to be starting but he should have gotten more minutes as a sub. Southgate's refusal to make timely substitutions really hurt him.My son and I have been debating Rashford all tournament. More likely it will be the other Jordan.I’ve got Jordan Henderson with the winner.

Bastards!...he was subbed off for Rashford, I think. The football gods are harsh.
England strangely have insane depth at winger. I was talking about this with a friend last night but England legitimately have 4 or 5 wingers who would have started for Brazil yesterday. I’m not sure that Rashford could play much with the form Sterling and Grealish were onIt's sort of in between.
