Will he be known as "Wookman"?That didn't take long:

Today I learned that Ryan Lavarnway still exists.Ryan Lavarnway, Ian Kinsler, and Danny Valencia will all be on Israel’s Olympic baseball team
That makes me sick. Ruined my morning.I actively did not want the Red Sox to re-sign JBJ but then I see highlights like this and wish he was still out in CF

That's heady stuff.Ryan LaMarre is starting for the MFY today

I feel the same and then I looked to see that he's has a lower BA than Franchy while his salary pretty much covers Verdugo, Renfroe, Kike', Cordero and Duran. Loved watching Bradley patrol center field, but the Sox are going to be fine without him.I actively did not want the Red Sox to re-sign JBJ but then I see highlights like this and wish he was still out in CF

This isn't that helpful. I would love to see how many runs he is saving, but May is the busiest time in the garden and I'm not sure I have the smarts to do it, anyway.JBJ is batting .156 with an OPS+ of 39 (and negative .5 OWAR), we are not missing much aside from a decent catch here and there.
We could look at WAR to judge the whole package. He's currently at -0.1 WAR (B-Ref) for the Brewers. Meanwhile the Red Sox outfielders have the following WAR: Renfroe 0.8, Hernandez 0.7, Verdugo 0.6, Cordero -0.4. Guess we could say he'd be a net gain in place of Franchy, but realistically, it's Hernandez and Renfroe that are filling the space that JBJ would be in.This isn't that helpful. All faces matter.Kevin Pillar got hit directly in the face with a fastball tonight. I didn't insert the video into the post because it's graphic, so if you are squeemish with blood don't click. Not a very likable person, but you wouldn't wish that on anybody. Hope the recovery process isn't too awful for him.

That’s awesome. That kid will be a fan for life.Joe Kelly playing a little rock, paper, scissors with a fan.
In a 12-season career, his season in Boston was by FAR his worst -- he had an ERA+ of 68. The only other seasons he's had an ERA+ under 100 were his second year in the bigs, when he sucked for the MFY and then was lights-out for the Astros (he wound up with a 99 ERA+) and his first year in SF after signing that big contract (96 ERA+).That’s a different Mark Melancon I see on the highlights, right?
That was a nasty looking pitch. It‘s so good to see him doing well.
Thank goodness this is MPH and not his temperatureThat was a nasty looking pitch. It‘s so good to see him doing well.
Good call, would make a nice 4th/5th starter.Red Sox acquire Bard at the deadline? Why not?
Man. He really doesn’t have a wind up at all. It’s like he’s just taking a step and throwing.
Do it, Chaim.Happy to see Kimbrel turn it around. Has a 0.75 ERA, 41 Ks, 8 BBs through 24 innings.
Sad to see that he basically lost four years. Definitely rooting for him as well.Anderson Espinoza has returned to the mound and is pitching every 6 days it looks like.

That is a fun article. Thanks for posting.https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/wade-miley-cincinnati-reds-baseball-mlb
I thought this was a cool article from an ex-Red Sox guy. Everyone knows Mike Trout is gonna be on the list but I really enjoyed hearing how Miley approaches these at bats.
