I know someone affiliated with the cable show, Garage Brothers. When filming last year they were given a Bruins jersey by Rick Barcovich, who is a good friend of Claude Julien. He asked Julien for a jersey to auction, and they allowed the coach to pick where the money would go.
This was a very classy move by the Bruins. Julien insisted 100% of the proceeds go to Matt Sorisho, a kid from Detroit Central Catholic High School who broke his back and was paralyzed while playing hockey. The 2013/14 Bruins team has signed it, and it comes with a certificate of authenticity. It's up for bid on ebay until November 2nd.
Even if you don't want to bid, help spread the word among Bruins fans to help raise money for Matt. I know I can count on SoSH.
