Also the crowd sucked. As did the person behind me who told me to sit down at the start of OT when there were 10 people standing in front of me and the puck was in the offensive zone.
I swear that goddamn dj sucks the energy out of the place, just pounding people over the heads with terrible waaf tunes.

(I was there tonight too)

The crowd was fucking terrible. Each Bruins fan in attendance should be shot.

Seemed to me like the Blues parked the bus after they realized that they were getting the benefit of the calls tonight and were hoping to catch a break. Gutless hockey all the way through. Bruins need to remember who the fuck they are and finish this in 5.

This is how my streak ends? With treachery?

Fuck that. Some divinely touched poster will start the g3 thread and bring this shit home.

Oh no, they lost a game. It’s at least a game where they didn’t seem to give a flying fuck, for whatever reason.

Skate in g3. Withstand the first 5’ and take advantage of an ultimately mediocre fucking hockey team. Just fucking win
Great run PSK. Amazing

Yep. Fuck, throw the noise meter on there or some shit. Only time there was noise was pre-PP, which I always thought was better to be quiet. But that’s just me.

Noise meter is horrendous. They def pipe crowd noise in when they do it

More organ, less terrible tunes

The game ops at the garden is fucking awful. I know we've talked about this before but we went to a game in Pittsburgh a year or two back and it was nirvana. There was music but it was nice easy background music. You could talk to people sitting next to you. The crowd made noise when appropriate. It was wonderful.

The thing they don't understand is that noise fatigue is a real thing. They pound music so loud at pregame that they're cracking the speakers. During breaks there's constantly MAKE SOME NOISE! and 20 seconds of shit music then they throw it to Kelly (?) with some random information and the mic is awful and distorts what she's saying. Then there's 5 more seconds of another song so loud the speakers crack. And the only thing it does is dampen crowd response. It's actually unpleasant going to games and I hate it.

I think that is Makayla Johnson.

Lol on vacation, rooms are all pod/suites with bathrooms. Wife and kid in one. Two kids in another, my parents in one, my MIL in the other, my sister in the last. Main house had the kitchen/living/dining. Didn't really want to cut through one of them to piss.

Remind me not to use that cup.
This doesn't sound like a vacation

Especially the MIL part

I’m aging myself but I have such fond memories of going to games at the old garden. There was an electricity and aura that was 0 pct contrived. Now they bludgeon you over the head with brutal noise.

It's pretty much the same for Celtics games. As a season ticket holder, I complain every year but it does no good. It's terrible.

In-game, Nick Kypreos and Kelly Hrudy mentioned they thought it earned a game. We’ll see.
Seemed like a play that should get a game regardless of result, should tack on at least one given the presumed extent of injury but it is a STL 4th liner so who really cares. Prob means a better player comes in for him.

I heard a bunch left between 3rd and OT. True?
The men's bathroom lines were basically wrapped around the concourse on both levels, so that could be a reason. There were a ton of empty seats at the start of the 2nd, less at the start of the 3rd, but still plenty.

I mean, after the second goalie interference call, someone should have been picking up their fucking teeth. Sack up, boys. Rask has to be pissed.
Correct.

Too bad because Binnington looked very beatable tonight, gave up a soft goal and had some poor rebound control. Just didn't get enough pucks on net.
Correct.

Down one defenseman against a very physical team, cut them some slack.

Everyone jumping off the wagon can GTFO. Bruins got this.
Correct. Gird yourselves.

Yeah.

Don’t forget that the Blues suck at hockey. You could tell how shitty a game that was by how badly they tried to pimp every second of something exciting. That’s Blues hockey. Suck between whistles and do lots of stupid shit after.

It was garbage hockey against a garbage team in from a garbage city. They’re outclassed.

Fucking kill somebody early and kill the penalty after. Reach in and steal their boring, 4/4 souls.
Correct, and FTFY.

Shots
StL 37
Bos 23

Hits
StL 49
Bos 31

Giveaways
StL 9
Bos 17

Those stats basically tell the story.
Correct, and sad.

It's you. You are the one. There shouldn't be another thread starter the rest of the way, no matter how this ends.
Signed.

You should have thrown a Goose Island on him.
Perhaps Schlafly's?

The Lightning game ops have done an outstanding job with the fan experience and it sounds very similar to this. IOW, you have to know the audience. In a new, southern hockey city, you have to make each game feel like a party and keep the casual fan engaged. In Pitt or Boston, play the fucking organ.

Was stuck watching this game in a bar in Memphis surrounded by St Louis fans. It was not pleasant.

Although one did pick up my (not insignifcant) bar tab for the night, which was nice.

Sack-Up-Saturday is in full effect.

I'm hopping on Blip and buying every billboard heading toward that shit arena... still deciding on the message.
