deep inside Guido territory
Stop screwing around and play a complete game in a closeout opportunity. Tatum--be aggressive all night driving the ball to the basket and get to the FT line. Make better decisions with the ball in crunch time. Brown, White, and Brogdon--keep doing what you did in Game 5.

Stop playing drop coverage on Trae Young and letting him get into the lane for those floaters. Double team him to get the ball out of his hands and make somebody else take those critical shots.

Don't compound one mistake with another one. Be poised and move on to the next play. It's about the details in crunch time that if you don't get them right it costs the team games. It's been like that this regular season at times and it goes back to the playoffs last year. It's time to right the ship and close this Atlanta team out and move on to Philadelphia.

My Celtics cuff links are usually a staving-off-elimination good luck charm, but I want no part of a game 7 so they’re on today. We have too much talent to lose consecutive games to these fuckers. Win.

The last time a Boston team played an Atlanta team south of the Mason-Dixon line with a chance to eliminate said Atlanta team, the job was done in breathtaking fashion, ripping the hearts out of Atlanta fans.

Let's do it again.

Celtics desperately need to close out Atlanta, as it looks like the East is opening up quite nicely for them.

I'm dead scared, to be honest. Feels like the Hawks have enough momentum to force game 7.

I'm nervous, too, but momentum can be short-lived, as we saw in Game 5. The C's came home after an impressive road win to play an elimination game against an opponent missing its second-best player, and none of that mattered in the end.

Tatum sees tonight as a legacy game.

Butler. Trae. Booker. Joker. Brunson. Durant. LeBron. Curry. Fox.

All of them are getting better press.

The Celts choked away Game 5, and Tatum is a big part of the reason why.

If he can’t get up for this game, his rep takes a major hit. That’s not fair. But it’s the truth.

37-8-5.

This feels like last season's playoffs. The Celtics infuriate us with a subpar performance when they have a chance to step on necks, then they bounce back the next game and show they are who we thought they were. Tonight is the bounce back and dominate game.

I will be on a plane. Hopefully following along if Wi-Fi is working. Hammer the Hawks.

First quarter goal: Withstand any early Hawk emotion. Defensive clamps. Offensive patience. End with a lead of some size
Second quarter goal: sustain the intensity. Lead into double digits
Third quarter goal: win the first four minutes. Wait for the runaway stretch to extend the lead. Lead at least 15
Fourth quarter goal: finish them - preferably by 6 minute mark

If Tatum plays like he did Tuesday, or if he tries to force ‘better’ offense, we’ll be headed back to Boston for game 7. I’m nervous.

Can't stay up for tonight's game, unfortunately. But I'm predicting a strong win. I think they want to prove something. Celtics by 12.

The only question is whether this team can maintain reserves of energy for use in the 4th quarter, to answer when the opponent goes all in.
It has been the question for several years.

Not loving this many early jump shots. Drive to the damn basket.
Yup. They are a good 3pt shooting team, and there's a reasonable amount of times they start hot, fall into taking those, and then when it levels out they give up big runs.

Keep attacking and being aggressive offesnively
