Not trying to pick a fight with you but … which teams were dishonest about their Covid case numbers?
I'm thinking more of examples where teams give the impression of a significant number but never actually say and its not clear how many were even first team players at all. Wolves had their fixture with Arsenal postponed and never really said how many cases they had. Leicester got their fixture with Everton postponed a few days ago and it seems like at best they might have had 1-2 cases but they never really said. So its not outright lying but is still a bit deceptive. We were at least honest and open about the situation.

Ok .. fair enough … but the failure is, as you have pointed out, the lack of a clear policy. The Premier League seems to be making it up as they go along - which leads to all the griping.

Yeah, I definitely agree that the policy wasn't clear enough. I also think it was just written along the wrong lines - fundamentally, it emphasizes the number of players you have available, not the impact of Covid on the squad. It would have been easier to simply say "If a club has five or more first team players that have returned a positive Covid test in the prior X days and are therefore unavailable for selection due to their quarantine still being in effect on the scheduled gameday, you can request a postponement 48 hours in advance" or something like that. That makes everything else - injury, Afcon, loans, red cards - irrelevant.

Nice to see Leeds playing well, but they are walking a tightrope. I don't think they are actually going to be very active in the transfer window. If they were, they would have done so already. Funds must be tight.

Feels like quite a while since Liverpool have put the screws to a team like this. Good to see.

Good performance from Jones today. Insightful passes and getting forward on the dribble with intent. Seems like the "come to Jesus" talk Klopp gave him set in.

That WH-Leeds game was off the hook. I nod to end action. Jack Harrison with the hat trick for Leeds, Bowen juuuust missed the equalizer at -10” of stoppage time

Kane with his 250th career club goal and his 18th goal in 17 career games against Leicester. He hates those guys.

Could’ve had a hattie in the first half were it not for a goal line clearance and a crossbar.

Brentford just had a beautiful counter, with Toney in acres of space, DDG made the save and they hit the bar on the rebound. Got to score there.
