I actually love that Van Gundy is calling out Varejeo. One of my favorite parts of the game thus far. The guy spends more damn time on his back than he does on his feet. I think my 8 year old would play tougher than he does.

That's what Lebron needs to do. If they are going to foul him, and get away with it, just go as high and as hard as he can.

JVG's obligatory shot towards analytics.
You'd think that if he wants to coach again he wouldn't be so closed-minded towards something that a potential GM/owner might buy into. There's gotta be more diplomatic ways to say that.

What was wrong with what he said? He's right about the mid-range jump shot in that situation.

If people can't understand the greatness of LBJ watching tonight, then they'll never be objective about him. The fact that Cleveland is even in this game, with the onslaught of 3's that Golden State rained on them in the first half is a testament to Lebron's competitive fire and ability to keep his team in a game by putting them on his back. I don't think more than maybe 1 or 2 other teams in the league would even be within double digits of the Warriors after the way they shot that half, and Cleveland is staying with them, step for step, on the road. This has been really, really impressive to watch with respect to Lebron.

Love has 2pts

The Warriors need to figure out how to man the floor because LeBron is killing them on the switch. He has a ton of points against Speights and Varejao. Maybe Kerr goes Curry, Thompson, Barnes, Iguodala and Livingston

11 3's in one half for the team. That was absurd.

He's playing v. two of the worst defenders in the game, maybe in history.

And where was this "fire" the other night in Cleveland or is this something he only holds in reserves for special occasions?

I'm talking about being dismissive of analytics in a "dorks in their mom's basement" kind of way.

And analytics doesn't say that the mid-range jumper is a bad shot in the way he implied it did.

No, they say it's not a good shot because you drive to the paint, draw help, and kick it for three.
