I did t know they were moving the show to LA. Seems like an odd choice. It’s a morning show. The cast and crew would need to start shooting at 4 Pacific to be on at 7am East Coast time. Also, Jason McCourty will most like not move with the show, which sucks, I liked having a former patriot on the show. I think Jamie Eardahl is returning which is fine, I hope Pete S returns and while I’m 50/50 on Kyle, his angry runs segment is great stuff.
How do you feel about this move?

It must be cheaper to run in LA but, damn, that is a 2am (at the latest) wake up for the hosts. Every single day. Ouch.

Simmons mentioned this on a recent pod. They're going to edge this show into a more gambling centric content he speculated. He was also a bit salty about the move and how it's going to kill one of his favorite morning shows.

Why will it kill the show?

Most of the guests are Zoom calls, anyway.

NFL Network is based in LA. Wonder if there is a connection.
One of the sweeteners in the SoFI stadium deal was that Kroenke agreed to build new offices and production space for NFL Network. I believe NFL Films is still based out of NJ, probably due to the cost of moving the archives and film processing labs cross-country.

NFL built a shiny new production facility on the campus of SoFi Stadium, and moving the morning show there will help amortize it.

The show is definitely worse without Nate and Kay.
I agree the show lost much of its luster after she left.

The angry runs bit it pretty much the only thing i would miss if they were to completely overhaul this cast...

GMF is produced by Embassy Row, led by Michael Davies, who is also the EP of Jeopardy. I think he is full time on the West Coast now. Davies also recently left Men in Blazers. This seems to make sense to be closer to the boss.
