Washington, DC
The Herald is dead, dead, dead. Owned by a company just looking to suck every bit of marrow out of them. They don't even have an office anymore. Grim times there.
I’m honestly surprised the Herald lasted this long. Even the larger Houston and Atlanta markets can’t support a second daily. DC (the market immediately ahead of Boston) has The Washington Times, but it’s basically a propaganda organ for the Moonies and has always operated at a loss.

I meant to ask this question a week or two ago, but thought I heard Giardi on with Beetle & Zo? If I remember he's always been a weei guy?

Always enjoyed his work, the NFL network thinking they were better off without him was a real head scratcher, hopefully Greg's compensation package is competitive.
Brutal industry right now.

Greg posted a members only survey over the weekend where he seemed to float the possibility of Patriots only coverage (Boston Football Journal perhaps), or limiting coverage of the other local sports to playoffs only. Not what I’m looking for as a subscriber, but I also know that the numbers are much better for the Pats (and Celtics to some extent), but I like the Bruins coverage as much as anything on the site.

Was that survey in the app? I have to admit I haven’t read BSJ much this summer with McAdam gone. I’ll almost certainly drop it if it’s Pats-only.

Yes, I'll give it a few months, but I don't think I'll be re-subscribing to a football site with occasional coverage of the Sox and other teams.

I just cancelled my subscription, it's coming up for renewal in a few weeks and I barely go there anymore since Sean McAdam left.

I did the same. The current Sox coverage is bad. I’ve always liked Bedard’s video breakdowns, but the site just hasn’t been worth the money. And it’s cheap.

No Sox coverage for the game last night, a full day in the middle of the season with nothing Sox related. Maybe they’re just going all in on the Pats.

I cancelled a couple weeks ago… and then I was auto-renewed for a year the other day. Thankfully I was refunded quickly after I emailed.

I really like to support journalism, but aside from Pats coverage I found BSJ to be too thin.

I recently re-upped for three years. I've liked the Celtics/NBA coverage.

I'm disappointed that, since I re-upped the baseball coverage has evaporated except for a story about Tim Wakefield written by Greg B.
