Monroe looked rusty in his first 10 minutes stint, but he also looked like someone who will be a real asset to the team. Has never practiced with them.
He hustled (2 steals), showed off his passing and rebounding skills, and while his shot was way off at the outset, he finished up with a nice 3 point play.
The one area that looked like an obvious (and expected) weakness was when he ended up switched out onto small perimeter guys. Watching him try to defend those plays gave me a real appreciation for Daniel Theis. I think there's a little bit of room for improvement there, though it will always be a weakness.
The Celtics played some freaky big lineups. The Monroe-Theis-Morris frontcourt got a lot of run, mostly with Brown at SG, but Tatum also got a couple of minutes there. Disappointingly, Rozier played the point in these big lineups - I think Brad missed a golden opportunity to go Point Al again!
