Not sure I'd want to poke the bear too much at this point if I were him, but I guess he knows what he's doing.

I get the "don't poke the bear" angle but I enjoyed that.  LeBron has never committed a foul and acts as if he is in great pain every time he gets touched.  Nice to see someone mock him a bit.

You don't think winning a championship is enough motivation? Perhaps Lebron may use it as motivation to only miss 15 shots next game.

Joking aside, the Warriors went on a 32-15 run after this, so they have bigger problems than someone mocking Lebron's theatrics.

Best thing about it is it was only a four point game at that point, on the road, with a quarter still to play and his team's whole season hanging in the balance. He still had to shoot the FTs (no easy task for him, as he was shooting sub 50% in the playoffs) and play an entire quarter of totally shutdown defense against the best player in the world. And, after cracking a huge smile like he was at the playground playing for beers, he went out and did both those things.

That's some f*cking major swag.

Your Warriors NBA Finals MVP through four games: Andre freaking Iguodala.

... Of course, the whole team seemed pretty salty and pissed off last night, from Draymond bellowing "YES, MOTHERF*CKERS, I'M BACK!" to Lee telling Dellavedova to "F*CK OFF, PUNK BITCH!"

Fun with lip-reading! Great to see, from the perspective of Warriors fan. Here's hoping they maintain that anger and swagger in Game 5. Weirdly, it's been much more present on the road than at home all playoffs long.

I enjoyed it too. The guy is a phenomenal talent, but I find him impossible to root for with the fucking theatrics every time he gets touched.

The constant acting like he's hurt more than he is needs to stop, it's beyond annoying.

Better not let Blacken see that video, he's liable to have an aneurysm .

I don't want to speak for Blacken mostly because I don't have his acerbic approach let alone his wit. That said, I think he would be fine with that video.

Hating on LeBron's actual game, on the other hand, pisses him off and I can see why. LeBron James is a hell of a basketball player if not the GOAT. However he gets treated like goatse.cx around these parts.

I love LeBron's game and want to root for him but think he's completely insufferable off the court. I want to root for him, but whenever he opens his mouth it's terrible. His press conferences in this series are embarrassing.

I dunno, I think most of the hate around here is based on the way he acts. I get that flopping isn't singular to him by any means, but when you combine in the flopping and the complaining, it's hard to root for. I've seen the guy quit possessions probably a dozen times in big games because he was busy yelling at the ref, and half of those times he wasn't even fouled. The play against Chicago really exemplified his on-court behavior, where he wasn't touched, tripped, threw a fit on the ground, and never joined his teammates on D. Someone bailed him out in the resulting 5 on 4 and the Cavs won in OT, but it's just a constant with the guy. Especially given a lot of the stuff he gets away with (one of the most physical defenders in the game, he averages 2 fouls per game in 42 minutes over 176 playoff games), I find it really difficult to root for him, even if I think his game is amazing.

Yeah, and the interviews are hard to watch, too. He can't help but play up everything. I remember he announced he was playing in game 6 against Chicago despite having no discernable injury outside of general fatigue associated with an NBA schedule. Don't get me wrong, I understand what he's going through is very difficult physically and mentally, especially as he ages, but enough with the drama.

It's  a fools game to hate on his game, he has single handedly carried the Cadavers so far in this series, he has  been incredible, otherworldly even.

It never has and never will be about his game with me, that's not remotely open for debate, nor should it be.

It's the rest of his nonsense, why be that way, it's mind boggling.

By the way, its hard to dislike what Iguodala is doing.  Its shades of what Pierce did to Lebron and then Kobe back in the day.

Or more recently, what Kawhi Leonard did to LeBron in the last two Finals, especially last year.

LeBron's talent is undeniable.  The only question is where he stands in the pantheon of the greatest players of all time.  I still think that Jordan is on another level but I understand the argument as to why LeBron is chipping away at that.

At the same time, the only other superstar I can think of who routinely makes himself as ugly between his on court conduct and press conferences is A-Rod.  The LeBron Hate has nothing to do with being a Celtics Killer as the reactions to Magic and Kobe were never anything like they are with him.  Hell, I live in the NY area and while I know plenty of big fans of his, I also know a lot of people whose reactions are just like the ones you read here and who are anything but Boston fans.

For me it comes down to the extreme "all about LeBron" and utter tone deaf qualities that make him so putrid.  And it goes against my grain to root so hard against Cleveland given their long pro sports title drought.  But there you have it; LeBron getting to play hero in Cleveland would make me vomit and his rescue story failing would be glorious.

I think Lebron has been quite impressive on non-basketball issues in the last 3 years. Jordan would have never spoken out about Trayvon Martin or Eric Garner.

I mean, Iggy is doing an admirable job, but Lebron has a 36/12/8 line for the finals and Cleveland is tied 2-2 with a shitty supporting cast.

Somewhere
Lebron has also never raped anyone, which puts him allegedly way beyond Kobe, Roethlisberger, and noted child molester Karl Malone.

Oh LeBron is getting his but he is doing it very inefficiently (shooting 38.8% from the field including 33% from deep).  He shot 48.8% and 35.4% respectively in those categories during the regular season.

Oh please. That has a little something to do with missing teammates and having to carry the whole load. This LeBron hate truly is out of control.

Sorry about that. The other videos I found had Iggy's head chopped off, or had something else wrong with them. Speaking of Iggy's head, I hope LeBron doesn't go after it in the next game. Nah, I'm not worried about him. In one of the post game interviews with him, he was asked the (brilliant) question of what it was like being the main cover on Lebron now. He said something like there are 10 or 12 guys in the league in the past few years who can create their own shot at any time, and I've covered all of them. I liked his matter of factness and no bullshit answers to this and all the questions he had to field the other night.

Saying that LeBron is easier to hate than Kobe because of how he treats his teammates and how he handles himself off the court is laughable and honestly fucking absurd.
I never thought I would read something like that outside of a Lakers message board.
Bron is generally regarded as a great teammate and someone everyone wants to play with....Bryant has the Smush Parker debacle, Jeremy Lin, the recent Jared Dudley comments (which if you don't believe are completely true I question your sanity), the Henry Abbott article, Christ there are too many to even name. This is all without mentioning the infamous rape case and just his complete tone deaf interviews.
Basically Bron would have to have a press conference where he beat up then taunted Make A Wish kids to even come close to how loathsome Kobe is....and even then I think Kobe has the edge

Where are you getting any LeBron hate from me? I agree with you that LeBron is having to do everything in this series but Iguodala is defending him decently as well. These can all be true at the same time.

This is, indeed, true. And, by the way, where did Iguadala's turnaround come from? If there was one guy who seemed disappointing all year long for the Warriors it was Iggy -- seemed like he was over the hill (or was that just small sample size viewing?). And, then, on the biggest stage, he looks better than ever. I hate all that "veteran moxie" cliche stuff, but I'm beginning to be a believer in it more than before.

I think it took him a while to adjust to coming off the bench.  The guy has been the Warriors series MVP for sure though.

Actually that's interesting. Assuming for a second that that victory broke the Cavs back and this series is over in 6 -- I suspect it did (but would never count out LeBron) -- who would get the MVP? I think you might be right on Iguodala as deserving that. At least at this point.
