Well shit, I wouldn't have guessed that guy won 20 at all everJamie Moyer!

Cool, congrats. They should do a grid for who used to write for both SI and Sport.Watch out for a possible SI story on this game in the future, I'm being interviewed for it...
100% I’m sitting here thinking I must have low blood sugar because I can’t come up with any Marlins besides Lowell, Stanton, Renteria and Jazz fucking Chisholm. The brain is funny. You name any random player from the 90’s and 2000’s and I can rattle off a list of the teams they played for. Even obscure, half season stops.
But if you just want me to name a player who played for the Mets in the 90’s? Give me an hour and I have like three names. Add in another team and it’s even worse.
Love the rarity score on the summary page, and I love the "Most Popular" chart... but now, how about adding a "Least Popular" chart?Even if it's because of wartime, one of my little nuggets I keep upstairs quite a lot is that Buckner retired with more hits than Ted Williams...
Make sure to check out your rarity score by clicking show summary. I had a little hand in making that a reality, that's the item I was teasing earlier. Today, mine is/was 9.
Congratulations, this was my worst showing yet.9 with a rarity score of 32. This game is a reminder that I'm old, since the most facile answers for me mostly come from the 70's.
Awesome Jess! Not shocked just a little quicker than I thought it would happen. Onward and upward!Watch out for a possible SI story on this game in the future, I'm being interviewed for it...
I sat there for 5 real life minutes and couldn’t pull the name, kept thinking Elijah Dukes and Natstown, but knew that wasn’t right. From our Natstown days, I hope every one of you at least got

I admit using B-R.com looking up these players.
You're too busy thinking about your next encounters with Abs and Eddie. Why are the played for both teams ones so difficult? I can remember who hit 40 homers for the Blue Jays in the 80s and 90s but I can't think of a player who played for two teams. I don't get it.
Elijah Dukes is a great reference too. I spent a lot of dynasty fantasy capital on those guys, and more recently Victor Robles.I sat there for 5 real life minutes and couldn’t pull the name, kept thinking Elijah Dukes and Natstown, but knew that wasn’t right.
I even like cheating in this, as I will commit to an answer, then look it up to see if I was right before typing it in.
The odd thing has been with the multi-team guys that I will be thinking of someone but it’s someone else immediately obvious to me on a significant year roster with them that actually played for the teams I’m thinking about.
There was a Philly/Detroit one today where I was thinking about the early 2000s Phil’s guessed the wrong guy and when I looked at that roster, immediately was like, “damnit, it was the 2b, not the OF!”
Huh. It gave me credit for that same ROY.Total wipeout today as I went from 2 immaculate grids in a row to a 5. However, I think I got ripped off on one square because it didn't give me credit for Randy Arozarena for ROY for some reason.

I'm also surprised that Al Kaline didn't win ROY and that Greg Luzinski never hit 40 dingers.

Huh. It gave me credit for that same ROY.
Yeah, I tried again in a different browser and it worked for me, so I probably just screwed up the input. D’oh!Well, someone was in the wrong box...
171 rarity score, best pull was Philly/Det at 0.5
Did you pick the right guy? I think three of them showed so you need to look at the years he played. This game has a fatal flaw. On numerous occasions I have entered a correct answer and it says it's wrong. For example, in today's grid, 100+ RBI season for the Arizona Diamondbacks. I enter Luis Gonzalez and it says it's wrong. I mean, the guy had 5 100+ seasons with them.
Hmmm. I guess I'll need to pay closer attention. Thanks for pointing that out.Did you pick the right guy? I think three of them showed so you need to look at the years he played.
The only fatal flaw I’ve encountered is that the game keeps spitting out Diamondbacks and Rockies. This game has a fatal flaw. Well, diamondbacks are known to be indigenous to the Rockies. The only fatal flaw I’ve encountered is that the game keeps spitting out Diamondbacks and Rockies.
The oldest I found, thanks to Baseball Reference, is,I wonder what the oldest guy you could find for SF/PIT is
Cuz the Pirates date back to 1901 and the NYG date back to like 1880 or something.
Edit: Pirates actually go back to 1882 and predate the Giants by a year, damn
It gets even more confusing when you start thinking, "Oh, I'm thinking of the Alex Gonzalez who played in the '03 Marlins-Cubs NLCS", until you realize that each of those teams had a shortstop named Alex Gonzalez starting for them.Speaking of multiple players with the same name, I was going to pick Alex Gonzalez for an answer the other day, but gave up when I couldn't remember what years the one I was thinking of played... or who the other one was. I know I knew there were two of them and I probably knew the difference in the early 2000s, but otherwise it's just like one guy who bounced around the league for 20 years as far as I can recall.
i did the Same. I picked the wrong guy with the same name. This game has a fatal flaw. On numerous occasions I have entered a correct answer and it says it's wrong. I did something similar, but with someone I could of swore played for AZ and Pitt, trying to get cute for a better score. This game just makes me hate myself for dumb decisions. I have my best friend playing it now, too... I hadn't done today's yet, but this afternoon he texts me that he can't think of a Rockies/Astros guy. I immediately text him back, "Well, the obvious one is that free agent pitcher the Rockies signed in the 90s who was a huge bust". He figured it out with my help and couldn't think of anyone else, so he got 9/9. I just did it and left that spot for last. I got to 8/8 and then decided I could come up with a better answer... I was convinced Eric Young Sr had a stint with the Astros, dammit.
Did you realize you actually came up with two of them?8/9, 173 rarity score, couldn't get the Astro/Rockie. I agree with the sentiment upthread, can we cool it with the Diamondbacks/Rays/Rockies/Marlins already? Took me all day to come up with a DBack/Rockie.
Yep, should have said "come up with a 2nd DBack/Rockie" after I had used the first in another square.Did you realize you actually came up with two of them?
