They've been looking for a president for years, since Rogers got sick of Beeston. If it has any effect in the clubhouse at all (which it won't), it would be positive as finally the Jays won't be linked to Duquette, Dombrowski or any other living being with GM experience.

Yep - the President's role in TO will be strictly non-baseball Ops. Beeston hasn't ever really gotten involved on that side of things from what I remember - other than the liaison to ownership when asking for money.
 
AA's job is pretty safe at this stage of the game.
