Makes my point it isn't the Sugar Ray Robinson story.

For the love of the game is fictional.

There is chance it could be good, but with all the videos and mic'd up stuff we have access to it will be hard to have a movie of the game that will do it justice.

I hope I am wrong, and it is a great movie.
It's also difficult because you need actors who are good at their craft and who also: (a) look like pro athletes, and (b) can pull off some athletic looking moves. You can't use body doubles for everything and you can't have someone who throws like Johnny Damon. I really like Donald Glover, and maybe he could find a good trainer (wink) and pull it off. But his spaghetti arms don't show a lot of promise.

Michale B Jordan is a good example of the rare actor who can fit the criteria.

Apparently the answer to "Where the fuck is Wallace?" is "in the gym".

Then there is the minor issue of finding a decent actor who looks even remotely similar to Mrs. Brady.

Probably pull some model who's done a little acting--it's not like Gisele will have a ton of heavy lifting to do--and then use makeup magic. A Rosie Huntington-Whiteley type, maybe.

Will there be a scene where Brady makes Peter King feel his flabby but flexible muscles?

Just keep Marky Mark the fuck away from it.
That's going to be impossible, given the people doing the film

The project will pair writers Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, who were nominated for an Oscar for "The Fighter," author Casey Sherman and Boston journalist Dave Wedge, according to Deadline.

Sherman and Wedge were co-authors of "Boston Strong," which was used as the basis for "Patriots Day," for which Tamasy and Johnson were executive producers.

Affleck plays Brady. Wahlberg plays Welker, Woodhead or Jules. Gronk plays himself. Paul Giamatti will play BB.

Yeah, we all need to start getting ourselves in a mental place where this movie is a gigantic heaping pile of steaming-fresh horse crap.

Sorry hard to see this being a good movie, unless it just focuses on year 1 and 2.
"Not terrible" is probably my highest expectation.

There are very few good sports movies and those that are tend to deal with amateur sports and/or people who have suffered significant adversity.
Apparently the answer to "Where the fuck is Wallace?" is "in the gym".
still can't believe that it's the same dude. also surprised that michael wasn't the breakout star from the wire.

We should not take what TB12 did for granted yesterday. An injury to his throwing hand, against a tough defense playing as well as it could, two of his best targets not playing in the second half and yet he found a way. We won't be seeing anything like this again for the Pats, so enjoy every second of it. Yesterday's game will sit prominently on his crown jewels of great games. Absolute GOAT.

Tough defense? By some measures, the Jags were rated as the #1 pass defense in the league. The Jags executed the textbook method of beating Brady: pressure up the middle while rushing 4. Even when Gronk was healthy, which was most of the first half, he was held to 1 catch on 3 targets, as the coverage on him was excellent. And they took away the Pats running game completely: 22 of their 46 yards rushing came on the final series of downs.

4th quarter Brady stats: 9-15, 138 yards, 1 sack, 2 TD's, 0 INT's. And 1 QB sneak to set up first and goal. I guess we can finally retire the theory that Brady gets the yips in the AFCCG.

OK so I opened this thread thinking it was a new thread, not a bump from last year. I'm at work so I'm kindof scanning it while I eat lunch, etc...and it took me like half the page to realize it was from last year. Posts about "throwing 50+ times", and then these gems:

People trashing him after a bad game would have been pretty dumb. Career resume was probably there before the game anyways and he still was at God mode level this year. Nice little capstone though for sure.

Just wish he was more clutch. Threw more picks in the playoffs than he did all year!
Well, the ones who were still watching.
