Tony C said:for my own amusement, thought I'd post my picks:
Green Bay Packers (+5.5) at Seattle Seahawks: I had the 'hawks...trust me!
New Orleans Saints (-3) at Atlanta Falcons: Saints in a blow out.
Minnesota Vikings (+4) at St. Louis Rams: Vikings -- tough call for me, but I don't see how the Rams score many points.
Cleveland Browns (+6.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers: Browns call me a Hoyer believer, plus the Browns should have a good defense.
Jacksonville Jaguars (+10) at Philadelphia Eagles: Jags, I think they're one of those teams that will lose a lot of close games this year.
Oakland Raiders (+5.5) at New York Jets: Raiders, Geno will be better, but that secondary.....
Cincinnati Bengals (+1.5) at Baltimore Ravens: Bengals -- one of the easiest calls this week.
Buffalo Bills (+7) at Chicago Bears: Bills -- not sure why i'd pick a team that is self-destructing in pre-season, but the Bears defense just seems bad.
Washington Redskins (+3) at Houston Texans: Texans, off the RGIII bandwagon (and right back on if he has a good game).
Tennessee Titans (+3.5) at Kansas City Chiefs: Titans -- pretty good team the weeks Locker is healthy.
New England Patriots (-4.5) at Miami Dolphins -- Pats, a TD game, but the Fins just have too many guys out.
Carolina Panthers (+1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bucs, an easy call (especially if Newton is out).
San Francisco 49ers (-4.5) at Dallas Cowboys: Cowboys - they're not as bad as people say, and that's a fuckload of injuries the 49ers have.
Indianapolis Colts (+7.5) at Denver Broncos: Broncos. Another easy pick. A lot of points, but the Colts aren't that good. The Broncos are that good.
New York Giants (+5) at Detroit Lions: Lions in a cakewalk.
San Diego Chargers (+3) at Arizona Cardinals: Cardinals - really tempted by the Chargers, as I think AZ takes a step back this season, but may as well go with the home team.
Looking at those picks in macro, obviously going way too often for visitors. But what the hell.
I'm so ready to watch some football.
9-4 so far -- thought I had the Jags-Eagles pegged for a while, but...naw. I still stick by the Cowboys pick as not absurd, though the score doesn't show it -- Tony Romo punctured that.
