In fairness to Cora, the options at SS and 2B are offensive sinkholesHere’s an idea. Maybe we should have a second baseman play second base.
Maybe Alex Cora's "faith" in Hernandez at SS and Turner at 2B is completely delusional?Sometimes I'm not sure what is wrong with the Sox. Is it the hitting or the pitching? Are the Sox trying too hard? For example, it would have been better if Duvall could have piloted his hit ball between the fielders rather than hit it so hard.
Ouch, maybe Turner isn't very good at second?
They have a bunch of players who defensively should be DHs, and offensively don’t hit for enough power to justify being DHs.Sometimes I'm not sure what is wrong with the Sox. Not a damn thing! Double Play!Bases loaded with no one out and Bleier on the mound, what could go wrong?
Bingo! They have a bunch of players who defensively should be DHs, and offensively don’t hit for enough power to justify being DHs.
Pablo Reyes is hitting just fine in the minors on a rehab assignment. In fairness to Cora, the options at SS and 2B are offensive sinkholes
I was happy to jinx the Mets with my postNot a damn thing! Double Play!
But he isn't active to play on the ML roster right now. If they don't play him when he comes back, then that would be a problem.Pablo Reyes is hitting just fine in the minors on a rehab assignment.
You just can't do that. Once a big guy like Duvall swings the bat, he has no control over where the ball is going to go. Especially when the ball is coming in at 92 - 100 mph and/or has a tone of spin on it. You just pray you hit it somewhere fair.Sometimes I'm not sure what is wrong with the Sox. Casting on the radio earlier in the game was talking about it being a league directive to call everything a hit. Presumably it's not written down anywhere. And yet, somehow, the Red Sox haven't been charged with an error
Yes. Pablo Reyes is hitting just fine in the minors on a rehab assignment. But he isn't active to play on the ML roster right now.
He swings at garbage all the time. The zone is crap, but Duvall has also been crap.Of course he has to swing at that garbage because the last pitch was a strike
I'm morbidly curious to see the post-game breakdown of the ump's calls. How the fuck is that a strike
