Sadly, didn't get to watch tonight. Happily, it was because I was at a concert with my dad. Sadly, it is my last night home before I have to go back to where I currently live.

Duran, too. He said last year he was kind of sheepish and intimidated, this year, his teammates have been awesome for him.
Nobody has named anyone in particular, but you can kind of read between the tea leaves on it.
And the Orioles’ pythag has them in about a dead heat with the Sox. They’re not head and shoulders above the Sox.
It is really cool to see how they are coming together. The playoffs find your weak links, though, and we have a few. Could win a series. Could also have an August lull. I’m not trying to be an ass, just feel like they are a work in progress.
You are more right than you know. They are progressing, and there's at least a non-negligible chance that some of those weak links become less weak as they continue to do so.
I don’t know if we can honestly answer this question until after the deadline. If the Orioles got a Verlander or Houston got Giolito my answer might change.

Interesting that this scouting report didn’t mention his cannon that has become an amazing weapon in controlling the running game (shown again tonight in the 9th inning).

Would have been 3 days in a row for Martin, and they specifically kept Schieber down last weekend to make sure he was readyvto go two days in a row (pitched Saturday and Sunday, IIRC). I think it's a "no explanation needed" kind of thing.
I thought so, but according to @DennyDoyle'sBoil upthread, the Braves stink, so these victories don't mean that much.

The homer to Casas was a hanging slider. But the Raffy one? That ball almost bounced ( According to Statcast, the pitch was 1.06 feet off the ground, the third-lowest pitch hit for a homer in MLB this year [reference] ) So a bit of bad luck and bad location.

I kinda get it, but they had an off day Monday and an off day today and he only threw a third of an inning Tuesday (5 pitches) so there is no 3 days in a row situation.
Not as good, but I thought Benintendi was not bad when he first came up. Then in his second year he started swinging at everything.

I was there last night - FANTASTIC night. Great weather, great baseball, the crowd was really into it. I was right next to the Braves dugout so we were in the middle of a lot of Braves fans who were all very nice. I could have done without the tomahawk chop, but you can’t have everything, I suppose…
I didn't think that Braves, or Florida State or Kansas City Chiefs fans did their tomahawk chop thing at away for them games. Just guessing about that though. Glad you had a good night at Fenway.
I am genuinely annoyed that there is no game tonight, which means that this team is more than filling its baseline function as an entertainment project. At this point, what's the worst case scenario for this season? They miss the playoffs but I spend the winter watching supercuts of Wong nuking fools? That sounds great!

I see a positive out of no game tonight, for the very reason you cite. The three days off in a week has allowed the Red Sox to give Wong ample rest as he carries the load behind the plate. He's been better than we could have expected, but he's still slight for a catcher. Having these offdays can only benefit him.
My second favorite* all time in person baseball memory was going to this game with my dad, first base loge. When Jeff Frye stole home off Glavine, all of Fenway started doing the Chop. Pre-9/11 irony at its finest.

I knew he'd pitched extremely well for LA and Montreal, but this is a different league with the Yankees and Indians in it, and nothing is guaranteed. I just got the feeling watching that one game that if they throw this guy out there every five days they're going to have a great chance to win. Turned out about right.
