Lamar Odom is fighting for his life after falling into unconsciousness at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada ... TMZ Sports has learned.
Sources at the Love Ranch tell us ... 35-year-old Odom arrived at the Ranch Saturday and was partying with the girls for days. A source at the Ranch said Lamar was taking an herbal substitute for Viagra.
We spoke with Hof  ... who tells us Tuesday afternoon, a woman went into Odom's room in the VIP suites and found him unconscious.

Hell of a bender even by his standards. Somewhere, Charlie Sheen is nodding his head.

I've also *ahem* heard that an ED assist is needed when partaking in certain stimulants.

Well, up the stairs ran Frankie Lee
With a soulful, bounding leap
And, foaming at the mouth
He began to make his midnight creep
For sixteen nights and days he raved
But on the seventeenth he burst
Into the arms of Judas Priest
Which is where he died of thirst.

The deadspin comments section is worth reading for the laughs. My person favorite

If you are still conscious after several days in a brothel, you're doing it wrong.

I still don't get people who say they feel sad for him, I mean this is the way to go

My LOCAL news reported on the story this morning. Not even the sports dept.  Started with "former boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian found unresponsive".......

Pay attention to how many stories will focus on the Kardashian name as opposed to Odom's.

It is still unclear what has happened to Lamar Odom that has resulted in him fighting for his life in a Las Vegas hospital, but there is some speculation that an episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” may have been a trigger.
Odom had reportedly been staying at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch South for several days before he was found unconscious in a VIP room Tuesday. Sources told TMZ that all seemed well with the former NBA star until an episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” aired Sunday night.
In the episode, Khloe Kardashian was shown taking two phone calls from Odom. Her sister Kim was critical of Khloe for “flirting” with her ex-husband after the first call. The second was when Odom informed Khloe that his best friend Jamie Sangouthai had died of a drug overdose. Khloe said on the show — you can watch the clip at TMZ — that she was concerned about how Odom would take the loss.
“I’m really on high alert for Lamar,” she told the cameras. “Anything will set him to spiral and that’s kind of the last thing I want for him.”
In a later scene, a seemingly distraught Khloe left a nightclub after a friend informed her that Odom was in the same establishment and looking for a table.
“My heart has just dropped to my stomach,” Khloe said. “This is just not a place that I would want to see Lamar for the first time in years.”
According to TMZ, witnesses at the Ranch said Lamar was “chill” up until he got a call from someone about the show. He reportedly had ordered a bottle of cognac on Saturday, and when he was found unresponsive a third of it was left. Odom was also said to be using an herbal substitute for Viagra, with one witness claiming he was popping eight or 10 pills at a time. Another person staying at the Ranch said Odom was using actual prescription Viagra.

The latest reports on Odom’s condition indicate his organs are failing and Khloe and others are with him in the hospital.

Or Pahrump rather.....

In all seriousness, sad news considering his past history. Hopefully he pulls through

I didn't realize that the divorce wasn't finalized yet. So Khloe Kardashian is still legally his spouse and having to make medical decisions for him. How extraordinarily awkward.

I am sure the producers of KUWTK are devastated (devastated!) that they'll have to air footage of Khloe at Lamar's bedside.

Anyone mocking someone who's suffering from addiction doesn't understand addiction.
I swear the people that I've seen making fun of him are the first ones to scream about mental health whenever there is a shooting.

This is a sad story, but please spare me the sanctimony towards people who are making light of it. The Kardashian family has made a fortune turning their private lives into entertainment, and Odom willingly married into that. His struggles now are part of the media spectacle.

Incredible that Kris Humphries is the one to escape that family more intact than any other guy left in their wake, Kanye TBD.

911 calls have been released. NY post reporting he spent $75k at the ranch.
Yep. Poor bastard spent $75K to spend the weekend eating KFC in a fucking trailer. He always straddled the line between success story (given his god awful family situation) and seeming close to checking out too soon. Sucks that the latter is looking more and more likely.

Not sure if you guys think I'm in the making light of camp. I was not making light of his issues. I was making light of the family he married into.

#Breaking ABC News has confirmed Lamar Odom opened his eyes and said something.

Heard in the hotel room: "Lamar, we're going to need you to slip back into a coma for a few minutes so we can get a better shot.  We'll give you a cue when it's time to wake up.  Someone fix Khloe's makeup and peal some onions so she can get her cry going.  Ok folks let's get a good take this time.

I hear you, but it's hard not to watch this and feel a little bad.

As for sanctimony, I don't think anything should be comedically off-limits, so have at it, but there's a difference between making fun with compassion and doing so gleefully. Kardashians and all, I'm not sure he deserves the latter.

Former NBA star Lamar Odom was conscious and able to say "Hi" to estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, a source with knowledge of the situation says.

There is a great article at bleacher report that's called "There Goes Lamar Odom, the Last of His Kind" - http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2580319-finding-lamar-odom-tracking-down-the-elusive-and-recently-embattled-former-star

It begins:

The sweet brown liquid swirls hypnotically in the bottom of the glass. An intoxicating lava lamp of 80-proof goodness. No less than a swig remains. But this man doesn’t swig. He sips, preferring to let the spirit linger on his tongue, appreciating both its full body and complex palate.
The ambient hum of the dark room soothes. Our waitress is young and beautiful and attentive. This is as cozy as you can be in public. Vegas feels safe on a Tuesday night in August.
There are stares, of course, but he feels more insulated than anything.
We are at the back of the restaurant. The dim luminescence of the room and rhythmic flicker from the solitary candle on the table—an unexpected mashup of accidentally good lighting—frame his glowing face. He stares at his phone. A text comes from Khloe. He replies then apologizes. Tucks his phone away. We order another round.
“Where do you call home now?” I ask.
“My heart,” he says. “Wherever my heart is and I can have peace of mind. Life can seem nomadic because I don’t know if I’m embracing it or running from it. I can go anywhere, but I don’t know where I want to be.”
It goes on to talk about his life with the Kardashians and as a superstar basketball player. It's a tough read because it gets into his childhood and he sounds pretty depressed at certain points too.

He's not a superstar, even though the articles have been calling him that.
