After a few solid and mostly satisfied years with my Lenovo x120e, I jumped at the chance to snag an x140e for $300 a couple of weeks ago.
They redesigned the Synaptics TouchPad for this and other models, and I'm not the only one who's bitched about it, as several YouTube videos will attest. In a nutshell, they got rid of the two bottom buttons (left & right) and the pad is now a depressable platen with the button functionality built in. Unfortunately it now requires a shitload of ergonomically incongruous force to press this thing down (I have arthritic thumbs)... but this isn't what I'm posting about.
I'm here to talk about another issue wherein the mouse cursor randomly, repeatedly, sporadically and inexplicably jumps to the upper-right corner of the screen. If I try to move it away, I can swipe it maybe 3 or 4 inches before it happens again. Over, and over, and over. Looking online it appears this issue has been ongoing since 2010, and there is no solution that I've been able to find. Never had any problem like this with my prior Lenovo.
Note that most of the discussion in that linked thread pertains to touchscreen functionality and/or drivers, and my model has neither.
Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
