Dirty Wat.....oh yeah, I forgot
Don't worry. It's dirty there all right. Last time there (Lester's first A's start) you had to roll up your pantlegs (floods) to venture into the men's room, and tiptoe through the (not) tulips.

Repurposed as the all-purpose Lester thread...

110 pitches on 6 shutout innings against the Mariners, preserving a 1-0 lead. He's probably done for the day, unless the A's really want to work their rented mule to the bone.

Lester as an Athletic: 9 starts, 9 quality starts, 56.2 innings, 49 hits, 10 walks, 50 strikeouts, and 2.54 ERA. He has been an ace. If the A's flunk their playoff race, it won't be because Lester failed them.

Now Brandon Moss gives the A's a 2-run lead with a high, high HR to RF.

Coco scores on a single to left-center, and Fuld gets to 2B on a bobble by LF Hart. Cano bobbles Donaldson's grounder, then Dunn grounds one past Cano, and Fuld scores.

Robinson probably wants to be back on an island right about now.

If the A's go to the WS, add another six starts and 40 innings to his 2014 workload. At least he won't pitch on short rest like CC did with Milwaukee.
