Can anyone look at the log and give me a quick idea of what's causing it?  Tech support is not real good here.  It happened since I installed Yosemite

Sounds like something I went through with my MBP. It's infuriating and if like me it'll happen when your GPU is pushed (full screen video, hot conditions, etc). There is a logic board replacement program via the Apple Store - I think it's free for some models. Until you take it in things will keep getting worse.

See if this applies to you:

None when it crashes

But did you have something plugged in when you upgraded to Yosemite? I  I had a USB stick in a port when I did an Ubuntu upgrade a couple of years ago and there were many errors thrown on subsequent boot ups.

That particular error is off-the-wall rare (a friend says that there are zero radars inside Apple that refer to that call) to the point where it almost has to be a hardware fault.

do you have any 3rd party software, extensions loaded resident? if there are no devices plugged into it when it crashes, there may still be something resident in memory from when a device was plugged in. these kernel panics seem to happen in Yosemite when software like Norton Antivirus or a USB mouse get plugged in. I had a Macbook Pro and it was having the same issue. I exhausted the support communities and it confirmed the most likely cause being software or a peripheral (with the motherboard being broken a last resort) and narrowed it down to a software thing, and it ended up being Symantec's security suite. Once I wiped that from the system it's been error free.

I have literally no idea what that means.

I never had the problem until I upgraded.

It means if you have a Macbook and you are in Africa, then you might want to try booting up without RAM in it.  If it's a hardware issue causing that, then 9 times out of 10 it's RAM

I miss the days of being to pop up a PowerBook or MacBook and replace or add RAM. Soldered RAM sucks.

How do I do that?

I haven't done a MacBook but even for PCs I'll watch a quick YouTube video if it's a model I don't know well.
