"Former NFL star Malcolm Butler -- who famously helped the Patriots win Super Bowl XLIX with a last-minute interception -- was arrested in Rhode Island earlier this month, TMZ Sports has confirmed.
According to North Providence Police Dept. documents, Butler was thrown behind bars back on March 16 after officers say he displayed signs of driving drunk during a traffic stop.
Cops say they initially pulled his white Mercedes-Benz over at around 3:22 AM ... after he was allegedly blocking traffic while stopped in a travel lane."

-----

He was later asked why he was arrested and he said "I have no idea."

Unfortunately, we may never know the truth.

The judge should set “telling us why you were benched in the Super Bowl” as part of his bail agreement.

Certainly not Mo Vaughn's hangout. The Foxy was stripped (pun intended) of their licenses about 5 years ago, which shut it down permanently.
Ummmm not permanently by any means.
Unless the ladies were ghosts or we walked through some sort of time portal when we were there a few months ago!

It reopened. I heard. From a guy I don’t even talk to often. Like, at all, really.

It's apparently been a long time since attending my last bachelor party.

I most certainly stand corrected, but they probably won't be open long with the "no pants below waistline" dress code.

His mugshot isn’t flattering. But at least he has has the former Speaker of the House (for RI) as his attorney.

Bill should release a statement to the effect of “Malcolm was a great football player and I tried to get him to stop drinking and driving by making a point about it on the biggest stage. I hope he gets he help he needs”

One time chance to claim the W Bill!

Kraft came to me and told me to trade him to a place where the drinking and driving laws are a little more lax.

I didn’t do that because I’m a scumbag.

I guess the moral of the story is even though you may never have to pay for your own beer in New England, it doesn’t mean you should take up everyone on the offer.
