Lukaku is a strong argument for finishing being a skill. He gets himself into fantastic positions and opportunities... and then, tragedy invariably strikes.

Great game from Ederson and Dias.

You'd like if you were Inter, you get a game where KDB comes off early, Harland very quiet, Gundogan a poor game, they'd really like their chances. Just lacked a clinical punch to put the ball in the net.

Kinda wish Drury had the call here, he’s the best at the overly dramatic pronouncements for the big games. I blame the PIF.

Felt like Inter could have done better in the final few minutes than running their offense through their goalkeeper.

California. Duh.
Also, is there a more unlikely 2-time Champions League winner than Scott Carson? And he even won them both in the same stadium.

Typical with all their success over the years that City finally win the CL with arguably their worst game of the year.
Mind you, they’re not alone. When Liverpool beat Spurs in 2019 I thought they played a terrible game.

Is Halaand the best player in the world?
I’m a Haaland fan (other than for city).. would be interesting to see him without DeBruyner for a full season.. he was pretty pedestrian at times without service.. as most forwards would be.. and I wonder how his game ages without his top speed.

still great in the air and obviously massive.. to me Mbappe has more individual skill but Haaland is a force to reckon with.

Congrats, Teddy. I think this is going to go down as one of the historically great squads. As years move along, we'll look back at the mix of veteran and young talent managed by an all time great and marvel that it came together.

Edit: And the Guardian is reporting this morning that Pep plans to leave wen his contract expires in 2025.

Will Guardiola move to another club in 2025? My guess is that he takes a year off, sees what happens with the 2026 World Cup, and then makes a move to coach either England or Brazil (two countries that have not won the World Cup in a long time and would represent challenges with plenty of career-defining opportunity if he were to succeed).
