Robbo to the bench for Tsimikas. Glad Robbo at least this ok.

Konate & Fab are back!

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Elliott, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Nunez, Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Hendo is out with a concussion. The head knock I remember didn't seem awful (I wasn't able to watch closely), but is this another case of the protocol failing?

I realize that Darwin missing goals is meme material, but what the fuck is wrong with this guy? He's lucky he hasn't cost the team more points with his Sunday League finishing.

Is the area within the goal itself considered part of the live playing surface? I would think so.

I can't believe this team is starting Ox regularly. I love signing Gakpo but not in favor of a position of massive, massive need.

Fire Trent and Darwin into the sun on the same rocket. TAA's attacking prowess does nothing to overcome his embarrassing defense and you can't have a #9 that is utterly unable to score.

Embarrassing, and thatvis being kind with the verdict
Only Alisson can hold his head up.

  • Fabinho is a shell of himself. He's either injured or fell off a cliff.
  • Elliott/Ox expose the worst in each other.
  • TAA can't play defense.
  • VVD looks exposed without Fabinho and his lightning first step is in Pickford's trophy case (basically the only thing in it)
  • Darwin is a chance creating, goal denying monster in his own head. He needs psych help at this point. If he buries his goal, the entire game shifts.
  • Salah got his contract and is coasting.
  • Thiago can't be a midfield enforcer without getting injured, so he's trying to channel Pirlo without anybody else on the same page.
  • Tsimikas is being asked to be Robbo but is utterly incapable. That shot and the cross shortly after were embarrassing.
The team had a problem in midfield without the stack of injuries. With it, there's absolutely nothing holding together the middle of the pitch. VVD and Konate are higher than usual trying to close the gap, leaving acres behind. Fabinho is making a triangle ahead of them without being an effective shield. Part of what made Liverpool click was his creating overloads in the half spaces (especially on the right between Salah and Mané). He hasn't made those ventures forward at all this year.

This is a fucking disasterclass. Gakpo, Jota, Diaz... Those guys aren't solving this midfield and fullback problem.

If Klopp has done any training on three at the back, now is the time. Bring in Gomez and get Tsimikas and TAA off. The kid is young and inexperienced, but hard nosed play from Bajcetic as a CDM is the type of thing the side needs right now. Free Fabinho to do his overload thing, allow Thiago to move further up the left side. Elliot can push up. Set Ox on fire- don't even bother subbing anyone in for him and it'll be a net gain. Have Darwin sacrifice a chicken or something and cover him in the blood.

VVD injury casually confirmed by the commentary...

Robbo is so, so important. Good lord he's so much better than Tsimikas.

Fabinho fucks Thiago over.

Thinking more about the VVD injury... If Klopp really did pull him tactically, would we actually hear any story other than a knock? I don't think Klopp would throw him under the bus this early in the process.

Maybe Nunez needs to hop in the Judgement Free thread and learn about the offside rule.
