It started as a battle for sole possession of first place in the Big Ten West, and the inside track on a berth in the Big Ten Championship Game, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers squared off with the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday in Madison. It ended with a new FBS single-game record and some classic coach crankiness.

Mark Schofield with a humorous look at Bo Pelini, and a sincere appreciation of one of the most impressive plays in an incredible performance.

Melvin Gordon rushed for 408 yards on 25 carries in only three quarters. The game was a blow-out so he sat out the entire 4th quarter. Amazing.

It was against a ranked defense from a power conference as well. LDT's record on 43 carries against UTEP
