Mike just killing a caller right now for making excuses for the Yankees. Just laying into him. Great stuff. "You're being so biased it's silly."

The phone calls are just superb right now. Someone suggested starting Gardner last night because he could get on base and make something happen.

Disregarding, of course, that Gardner can't get on base to save his life.

Judy with the first non retard call. Mentioned that they can't hit with RISP.

I am waiting for some crazy trade suggestions, those are always the best.

Gardner for Peavy?

He would cover a ton of ground in Petco and gets the league minimum.

A caller tried to shit on Okajima and Mike wouldn't have it. He didn't even let him recite his stats. Great stuff.

Good catch.

Edit: WRKO and WAAF (Also owned by Entercom) are also listed. I don't see WTKK however.

You can use an iPhone as well with the radiotime app.

I love how he keeps pointing to '04 instead of maybe the Marlins WS.

Although, there's no talk of how the Sox developed a better farm system while the Yankees traded away all their top prospects every year for ten years.

Okajima against the Yankees: 5.40 ERA

Some guy tried to call in with Okajima's numbers against the Yankees, and he cut the guy off.

As much of a blowhard Dog was (especially within the proximity of Francessa), the guy still balanced the show out. Mike's a fucking moron most of the time.

If Chris were there, Mike wouldn't be so panicky. I think he realizes, for the entertainment value of the show, that he needs to be a little more alarmist now that Russo isn't there to play that role.

Where's Lisa from Whitestone? She hasn't made an appearance to discuss the utter classlessnessnessless of the Papi curtain calls. I'm shocked.

He invoked the name of Hunter Jones!

I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing that- what on Earth is his deal with Jones? The funny thing is that, going strictly on memory (so I may be way off), but it seemed like Jones only had those really solid games against NYY, but then fell apart a bit thereafter.

But he's not a fan of MDC, even though he throws hard

What's his beef with MDC?

Thanks a ton for the updates guys...

Honestly, I don't think they were classless at all- but if they're stupid and annoying when a Yankee does it, I'm sorry, it was annoying when he did it too. Especially because it's effectively like a Participation Trophy for him, every time he hits a HR.

Oh sure I don't disagree. I just want to hear Lisa's head explode getting herself worked up over it.

That game in Fenway where Jones and Bowden shut the Yankees down really made an impression on Mike. Since then, he's been beating this drum pretty hard, and riding the Hunter Jones train.

Pretty fun stuff. He even points out that Jeter was one of those 0-5 with a zillion men left stranded.

The tide really has turned. Last night, after Damon and Unless you are referring to Kanekoa Texeira... you don't know how to spell his last name went back-to-back to bring the Yankees within a run, nobody in the park so much as batted an eye. Had that event happened 5 years ago -- back-to-back shots by the Yankees in the later innings -- the proverbial air would have been sucked out of Fenway Park. Fans would have entered full-scale panic mode, and the Yankees win that game more times than not.

This isn't meant to be a Bill Simmons-esque analysis. The fans last night, even after the two HR's, knew the Sox were going to win. The dichotomy between the two eras (pre and post-2004) grows by the day.

Some crazy bastard named Jim wants to make Joba the closer and move Mariano to the 8th inning.

Mike is trying hard not to call him a retard.

I don't know quite how you can come up with Dog as the smart one of the two. Maybe the more self-aware one of the two, but Mike knows way more about baseball than Dog.
