Unless the majority of separated shoulders come from fighting, that seems a pretty unnecessary comment.

I think Miller and McQuaid are basically interchangeable, but that vaunted defensive depth is quickly being tested. And it's not as if the D looked that sharp as is yet.

Fighting causes a lot of otherwise preventable injuries. That's not really debatable, whether you're for or against fighting. I don't see why it matters if one specific injury is caused more from fighting than from other types of plays.

The majority of them? Nope.
This one? Yep. And it was one of those silly unnecessary fights which makes it even worse.

I'm not one of the people that want fighting out of the game, I think it has a place and a time. This one was one of the fights that are fights because, well, I'm not sure why exactly. There wasn't a bad hit. It was the 1st period of a game against a terrible team. And now we're down a d-man. So I stand by me "yay fighting! woo!" comment in this case.

And it already distracted from the issue at hand by activating my anti-fighting radar.  :buddy:

Either way it's a tough blow given the holes the D has shown so far this season.
