Come on! Baby needs a new pair of shoes!!

Not sure I like this for MLB. We won’t know for years if it’s good, bad, or neutral.

Red Sox have a 1.2% chance of 1st pick, 11% chance of top 6. If the status quo stays the same, they'll pick 11th. If the Mets or any team behind the Red Sox move into the lottery, they'll move back a spot for each one.

Mets drop 10 spots if they don't get into the lottery. Nats can't be in the top 10.

We deserve the #1 pick. The Boston area hasn't won a world championship in a few years now.

Reds (82-80) leapfrogged them into the lottery.

Cleveland with a 2% shot, gets the #1 spot and Cincinatti, with a 0.9% shot at the top spot, lands on the #2 spot.

Weren’t we In Cleveland’s spot until last day of season? And this happened last year too when Minny jumped to 5th?

Yankees at 26. Lol.
I was curious because that didn't make sense to me so I looked it up. In case others are curious:

Three other teams -- the Mets, Padres and Yankees -- that were eligible for the lottery also dropped in the first round. The Mets had the seventh-best odds (4.3 percent) to win that top pick, but because they, along with the Padres and Yankees, exceeded the second surcharge threshold of the Competitive Balance Tax, they will have their first overall pick dropped 10 spots because they did not land one of the top six picks in the lottery. That means the Mets will pick No. 19, while the Padres and Yankees will pick at Nos. 25 and 26, respectively.

Next year's draft doesn't have the top end talent of this year's, nonetheless, the Reds getting another top pick to add to that squad...damn, they could be real good. Good thing their owner is an absolute cheapskate.

Maybe this makes Cincy feel better about trading Spencer Steer to the Red Sox?

I was trying to remember the last time Cleveland had the #1 pick before realizing that I can't remember because it's never happened. Guess I'll be paying a bit more attention to the amateur prospects next spring.
