Sammy Buckets. He is a legit good player and probably should be getting more run if he wasn't behind the other Cs players.

Hilarious that Grant just did such a good job bodying him up, but went down at first contact like ten minutes ago.

Does KP not have a hook shot? There are a bunch of times on the block where it seems like a little righthand baby hook is right there.
Not really, he's a jump shooter. His post game is just to create space and get closer.

Holiday had probably his ugliest game of the season, 1-11 for just 2 points (0-8 from 3), and only 2 assists. He also missed two free throws in the closing seconds of their loss to Charlotte earlier in the year, he's probably happy to get out of this building.

We’re going to have to monitor this to see if it’s an issue with the shoulder. The other night I was encouraged, now back to wait and see.

Those guys are all bulkier than KP (he's both taller and lighter than all of them) and weaker as mid-range jump shooters. It's always good to learn new skills, but I don't see the value in him suddenly featuring a hook shot.

-It would require him to battle for position closer to the basket, both expending energy and increasing the risk of injury.
-He's already been one of the most efficient post scorers in the league this year.

Super strong centers who can't score efficiently more than 10 feet from the basket can make good use of a hook shot. That is not something KP needs to be thinking about.

I think Poeltl, Claxton, and Allen all put up a few, too.

But I’m not really advocating he develop one, mostly just marveling that a dude with his size didn’t have that drilled into him as a young player. Thought that was sorta part of the “how you play the five” package. But I guess he put on a lot of height late and was always a perimeter player, maybe?

maybe he was drilled on it. guys probably got coached to do a lot of things they don’t use anymore 20 years ago. mid range, rebounding technique, close out technique are all totally different than when i was a kid.

He's been the best post-up shooter in the league this season, so I see no need for KP to change a damned thing lol.
