They moved down 6 spots in the middle of the draft, what were you expecting they'd be getting?
They hadn't announced the 2nds when I typed that.

My point was they are obviously getting more than just salary relief.

Guessing those 2nds are heavily protected and probably turn into nothing in a few years

The NBA is super dumb in that they don't officially announce trades even though everyone knows they have happened so teams make picks for other teams all the time and everyone has to be coy about where the player is actually going.
It is insane. Does the new CBA do anything about this?

That's the type of optimism that we need around here.
If the point is that they can use the MLE then that's a huge win to drop from one guy who probably won't turn into anything to another guy who has a slightly worse chance to turn into anything

So 4 guys before our pick

Some of the top guys left on the board:
Guards: Nick Smith, Andre Jackson
Wings: Rayan Rupert, Max Lewis, Colby Jones
Bigs: Leonard Miller, James Nnaji, Trayce Jackson Davis

Detroit doesn't have their own 2nd available til 2028, but they have Washington the next two years, one of those would be nice

The attitude in this city stinks and it sucks and it stinks!

Non Miller guys I like. Maxwell Lewis, Rayan Rupert, Sidy Cissoko, and Andre Jackson.

Not sure if this is who Stevens is targeting but Andre Jackson Jr will likely still be on the board at 31. Marcus Smart type of defensive intensity with great vision. He has no shot but he impacts the game in many ways. For a late pick might be a nice get.

This draft is pretty deep in terms of roleplayers. Boston has a pretty good shot at landing a regular season rotation guy at #31.
